Vagabond: We want more of the GOG community to help contribute to our wiki. So we're going to hold a contest for free GOG games.
Not entering. Just stopping by to say that this is a great idea to get more of the community involved with the wiki. I'll probably add info to some of the wiki pages in a couple of days as I'm making a couple of GOG dvd covers atm.

Oh, I just noticed you've been on GOG 1337 days. You're 1337 now :)

Vagabond: This isn't an encyclopedia. It's a reference. Troubleshooting, etc.

noliveking: Mhmm I didn't mean all of the wikipedia page, just stuff that might fit such as adding onto the overview of the game
We didn't want to create another Wikipedia or Mobygames, they are already excellent in what they do. This is also why usually every game has a link to those two relevant sites. The GOGwiki is based on relevant GOG issues, hence also the point "GOG trivia" and not just trivia.

The core issues are mods, fixes, troubleshots and relevant discrepancies from other releases (censorship, etc.)

On top of that we hopefully can expand into comptibility guides for Mac/Linux/Netbooks.

Thief 2 is truly a great example.

I'll see what i can do with Pod and Dragonsphere and ArmA CWA. Will add more stuff later.
I'm entering the contest.

Ah, why not? I'm in.
I'll have a look at the wiki when I get home from work & see what I can add.
Ok, i have a question about the wiki:

Do we need to make a separate account on it? Can't we use the one we already have?

Use an account that's your exact GOG.com name.
Ok, just made my first edit. It's not as complicated as i thought:P

unfortunately, GOG does not offer an OpenID Access. I might look into it when I have more spare time to implement the Authorisation Algorithm used in the Community PM Project :)
I will try to edit some of the games I have played.
I haven't been able to get the gogwiki to load. Well, it probably would load, but after a minute, I stop it. It'd be hard to do anything at that rate.
It's been a pain, yes, but I've persevered, and the Deus Ex GOTY Edition page now has all the links and information from the sticky in the DX forum.
In the eventuality that i win, how will i know i won and how will i get my prize? Will the code be PMed to me or...?
Looks like I've previously done what I can to help things out so far. I do make the occasional adjustments. I guess if the contest is only for things accomplished over this weekend, then I will have to forfeit.

Good idea though and thanks for having it! I hope a lot gets done with the GOG wiki to make it even better. :)
