MaximumBunny was actually trying to speak up for you in a way. Everyone else do sort of have a right to voice what they think, including you too. Since the GOG forum is basically one general forum outside of the game specific sections, we have things like our own threads for specific things.
Like for trading, just post your offers in the "Classifieds", and if someone likes your offer, they will happily contact you for a trade. Or, if you want a gift, you can try your luck in the "Non-GOG Gifting thread" (since your desired game is not on GOG), sometimes, a few generous people, do drop free stuff there.
