Why was THAT pulled?
According to the devs, to allow them to create an even better version. According to others, due to copyright infringement.
What, stalin is a copyright now?
Having only seen the trailers I could believe that it was pulled due to copyright. Those 3 eyed green aliens looked a little to much like the ones from toy story.

Ralackk: I think they just want everyone to order their new Modernwarefare 2 game when it comes out for its stupidly high price. Stop selling the old game forcing new people to the franchise to get the next more expensive one.

Activision is the most evil company ever, so I figured the bastards would pull a stunt like this. People are always complaining about EA, but EA's reformed themselves over the years, and Activision's only become more and more sinister.

In other terms, "People realized that the game behind that strangely compelling video of Stalin dancing is awful beyond awful, and we decided to stop tricking fools into buying our God-awful game.

bansama: The only game I can recall being removed from Steam recently, is Stalin vs Martians (which was pulled from everywhere). But plenty of others have pulled from Steam over the years.

Yeah, I remember wanting to pick up The Movies and its' expansion pack recently, because I remember it being on Steam once. Searched for it, and there's no trace of it left.

no but green three eyed aliens are
None of it make much since anyway. This will only help piracy as people will be curious and want to try these vanished products. Also, it's rather arrogant to sell something to someone and expect them to give it back. Just bad business practices.
MW2 is coming out in November and they are still selling MW 1 at full price. I agree that it's dirty. Even left for dead is doing it. Though you can get the first one for $30. I have not bought MW1 because of the price and I'm still not until it goes down. I don't even know about MW2

Modern Warfare 1 is still on Steam. For all the ranting people do about Steam, I still think it's better than Impulse. Ubisoft didn't put TAGES on the Steam or retail version of Call of Juarez but put it on the Impulse version.

In Mother Russia, copyright owns you!
Hm, actually it's like that everywhere now. :(

That's just simple supply & demand...if people weren't still willing to pay $40 for it, the price would have dropped. Clearly, they are (in no small part because its' continued success as a massive multi player hit keeps fueling sales).
cod 4 is still for sale on steam and impulse you sure they took it off??

Actually, it seems to have re-appeared everywhere.
