PoSSeSSeDCoW: If you look it up, the United States, whether you see it as being correct or incorrect, has laxer restrictions on free speech. Hate speech is banned in Canada, while it's allowed in the United States (as long as it isn't intended to start a riot or defame someone).

The type of hate speech that is banned in Canada is the type that infringes on others rights as outlined in the charter.
America's laws say congress can not limit people's speech, Canada's says nobody can, unless they take it to parliament first and have it passed as democratically reasonable.

So I can spraypaint a message that says I'm awesome on the road in front of your house or in your driveway and you can't do anything about it?

No, as that would be damaging their property. What you could do is stand in front of their house and say how awesome you are. This is of course assuming you aren't breaking any other laws or ordinances (noise for instance, if you're constantly yelling how awesome you are).

Pretty much, "to such reasonable limits as prescribed by law" means just that, the limits are what they have laws against.

Exactly. And you can damage their property (in this case forums) by posting things that they find distasteful and they should have every right to remove it.

trusteft: Also, what is wrong with the sentinel mouse? I have it and I haven't noticed anything with it yet.
And yeah, going to an official support forum and acting like a jerk should make you bannable.
Why shouldn't any company be allowed to stop you from badmouthing them in their own forum or something? Perhaps you should change your attitude before they do. You wouldn't go to someones house and badmouth them and expect them to let you continue...

I just said I didn't act "like a jerk". I presented my problem in a civil manner, and when it was deleted for no discernible reason, I called them out on it. Also was the fact that the ADMIN of the forums was trying to push "experimental products" on me through PMs, on which I also called them out. In this case, "called them out" means "wrote a topic asking where the post I just wrote went to, and asking whether or not this supposed Admin was a real Admin, as he/she was asking for my personal information to 'hook me up' with 'a mousepad they were developing'".
The sad part is that they IP banned me, which wasn't a good thing to do because since I use a satellite ISP, a good number of other people will have been banned too.
As to the actual problem with the mouse, it's got faulty drivers that make for poor/erratic tracking, especially at Windows startup when first turning on the computer, when the mouse would fail to track at all, even though the mouse buttons would respond. I would have to restart Windows several times (Using CTRL+ALT+DELETE and arrow keys) just to get the mouse to begin tracking, albeit jittery. The response I kept getting from the sole Admin of the support forums were PMs on how "We are developing a new mousepad that should make you the happy user. Give to me your information if you are interested." What probably got me banned was that since I couldn't use the Quote function for these PMs, I took a screenshot, posted it in a new topic, and said that even if this were a real Admin, a new mousepad wasn't going to help since A) I already had a pretty fancy pad to begin with and B) It was a software issue, and software was what they needed to focus on, not pushing mysterious new pads.

Slightly different, they can remove you
if I invite you onto my property I can't control what you say while you are there, but I can force you to vacate my property.

They have the right to remove anything that you put there that has any permanence. If you write on their walls (even with their permission) they can paint over it. Very few things on the web are as temporary as unrecorded speech.

Perhaps some hair is stuck near the laser tracker.

Quote function only works when quoting two or less people. Try to quote more, and it goes crazy. Same if you try to make edits.
