bazilisek: Actually, considering how MP games are set up, I don't think it's using Steamworks for MP at all -- it's all in-house code. And I believe the game is a Steam exclusive, no matter whether you want to play SP or MP.
The game is done in XNA, afaik, so your point may be true.
I've bought it this week when it was on sale on Steam and I like it so far. A few of my Steam friends have it too, so the multiplayer might be more fun that way.

I loved the demo in singleplayer... it will suck if the rest of the game is not as good solo.
