bevinator: Try launching the w40kwa.exe and see if that works better. My retail WA uses that filename.
Did that with the same effect. No WA campaign listed.

Iain: After installing the game you could try restarting the Steam client and then see if it is listed, worth a shot.
Nothing changed.

Well, contact HB support. They have to make it so at least the Gold Edition can be bought by those who redeemed the key.
I would say also give Steam support a shout about it saying that the Winter Assault campaign isn't available to buy separately but the store page says you have the Gold Edition.
Just the re-iterate, the Platinum Edition seems to be half of the price of the standalone "Gold Edition" (In the UK, at least) and has Dark Crusade with it as well.

If the prices follow a similar pattern worldwide, there should be no need to buy the Gold Edition.

Platinum costs $29.99 here (savings of $9.99) whereas the two parts separately are $19.99 each.
Oh, not so good then.

For the sake of comparison the UK prices are showing as £9.99 (Approx $16) for Platinum, as opposed to £19.99 ($32) for Gold and £9.99 ($16) for Dark Crusade.
These are regional prices. Look here:

It even dropped to 2.5€ 2 month ago in EU.
Well, thanks to HB I now know that DoW is not my cup of tea. Good thing since I have considered buying it a few times.
Just as a reminder if anyone missed the picture I posted earlier.

The game installed, as in files on disc, is the Gold Edition. The folder is even named so. Yet it somehow doesn't start.

The campaign can be ... Weird. If you'd like, we can get together a little skirmish vs. AI together, since MP and skirmishes is where half the fun of that game lies.
This was absolutely the best gaming deal i have ever seen. Simply amazing deal. Long live Humble Bundles!!!
Another strategy game? Now there are four... :(
I was hoping for something more like in the line of RF:Guerrilla or Saints Row 2. Still, and EPIC DEAL from THQ.

Yeah, a bit random. I am sure a large group of suits spent a considerable amount of time debating it however and chose this list for a reason.
Poor, poor THQ. Hopefully the funds will help get them back on their feet.

thanks for the offer, but multiplayer is not really my thing... Anyway, I have more problems with the core mechanics, there are very few RTS games I can play. I get to stressed by them.
