It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I have tried everything.

Downloaded it, it didn't work, ran an integrity check, gave up, deleted it all and redownloaded. Still the same problem, see pictures attached.

Now that's 20+ gig of wasted bandwith. WTF?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. All the other Steam games work flawlessly by the way.

I'm not sure what you are asking... It downloads fully and installs no problem, it just shows these screenshots I took when I try to RUN the game...???

What I read.. couple dudes say it helped when they installed physx.

Edit: and is it possible with steam put those games in another place than program files-folder.. A bit new with those steam things myself. and they haven't been most cooperative.

I'm cheap and I had been waiting a long time to play Stubbs the Zombie...Heard about it in GOG steam fourm being on sale...so I grabbed it for $2.50...It didn't work, for the first time ever I looked at steam forums (I don't use steam much) and found that numerous and I mean a lot of people are apparently having the same problem...I tried all the fixes they mentioned, none worked...Thus now I must dust myself off and realize I have been justly punished for the sin of buying from Steam and not GOG :(...I feel fully contrite. On the other hand, that game is obviously broken for a lot of customers and the wankers (pardon me) should take it off their site before they loose actually wealthy people's bussiness and not just mine.

Sorry about being a little off topic, but if you haven't yet, check the steam forums if other people had the same problem as you, you may find a solution on there...If not then like me and the other Steam-flagellators out there, welcome to the We-Hate-Steam-For-Life club! :)

HOWEVER, in your case, it may be your system....A quick search for that last picture error and I found this:

Hope this helps you to figure it out.

I don't think that is the case. There must be workaround with most games. Even with win 7x64.
Almost bought that stubbs.. Well the zombie game when it was cheap. I also heard that it isn't total crap.
But it's even crappier than if people don't get their games working.
Mostly I have been saved by myself by modifying ini-files.
Have you posted these screencaps at the Gearbox support forums?
1912x1080?

You're not trying to play this in a laptop, are you?

Actually, no. I'm running this on a desktop and have a ViewSonic 24" monitor... :\
that game is so new that it should work with 7x64. So pretty much I don't get it.
Those errors scream of "This is missing a bunch of DLLs" to me.
IIRC this is a well-known error (on the Gearbox forums at least) with certain varieties of AMD CPUs that the devs never fixed despite well over a thousand people being affected -- and those are just the ones who speak up.

Download driver updates for anything and everything, scour Google for solutions to "borderlands general protection fault" in case someone's found a solution in the past year, consider trying a cracked version just to see if maybe the pirates fixed it, reinstall just in case it requires it to notice all the fancy stuff you did to the place. Otherwise, see if you can find some specific lists of hardware this happens on and replace yours with something it WON'T happen on. That's about all I can offer.

Which varieties? I've got a Phenom II X4, and I'd like to upgrade to an X6 1100T.
