It's a petty annoyance as I was naturally interested in Elemental. Still it's only the shopping cart I am unable to access so i'm sure I can have someone gift that to me.

I admire you, if a company refused to sell me their games, I wouldn't be looking for any way possible to give them money for them. In fact replace admire with LOL.

You must be very keen to get that game. Because for me that would be the last damn penny they saw from me.

Unless you are in the US and Canada, in which case they actually have some competitive deals. However for everywhere else on the planet you are spot on.

I won't bother anymore looking for impulse offers, apart from their published games (GalCiv 1 and 2, Demigod, SupCom, Elemental, Sins of a Solar Empire and nothing else).

This thread contains the whole story. Back then we had a resident Impulse fanboy called melchiz that attacked everybody who disliked Impulse and in extreme cases like Delixe's he called for reinforcements. I wonder whatever happened to him.

Perhaps he got region restricted and can't get outside Impulse's forum.

I think he just got fed up that the majority of users on here haven't had many nice things to say about Impulse. As a fanboy he must have felt like he was hammering his head against a brick wall knowing every single one of us was wrong.

]Food for thought - the fanperson on GOG is mel... the woman who ravaged my account and banned me for unjust reasons was named Melissa. Coincidence? I doubt it.
EDIT: The Mel with just one rep is the one who rampaged through my account. I was told she definitely is no longer with the company. I haven't checked to make sure, though.

Reading that thread I didnt see much errors on Stardock, other than employing a full charge for an pre-auth instead of the standard $1-$1.50 one. I have a prepaid credit card too, and I have to say my ignorance about US and abroad payment systems was a source of smashed keyboards. Like, I didnt know about those pre-auth charges. I didnt get any pre-auth charges on anything I bought from Gog. Neither from Stardock, but that was a long time ago. That snot lady didn't sound crazy either.

I don't know drm, if it's the same woman she really flew off the handle on me. I don't really want to get into detail but I had to file a grievance against the company and get a refund through the bank on top of the game not showing on my games list after they put the charge through.
It's over and done with now, but at the time I was fuming.
