I found it on impulse for $2.49 & I'm considering getting if it is decent. Anybody played it?

I haven't tried it myself, but it's supposedly quite a deal like Fantasy wars, and according to a friend of mine who bought it on Steam some time ago, it's quite hard and unforgiving. So I guess it depends on what you want from your strategy games. Apparently what you'll get here is a basic hex based strategy games which requires a deal of thought, and there are some rather harsh time limits imposed to complete some of the missions if I recall

This is the successor of Fantasy Wars. I haven't played Elven Legacy yet but Fantasy Wars is a really good turn based game. It has no resource management so it's more like tactical than strategy. If you like these kind of games I think it's absolutely worth it.
Of course my opinion is based on Fantasy Wars.
I played both and enjoyed them. Elven Legacy plays more or less exactly like Fantasy Wars and could as well just be an Add-on. From the game play is very much like Panzer General with RPG like perks increases. The story is mediocre and the tactics is kind of repetetive, but for someone who likes turn-based hex strategy games this is a good game and for 2,5$ it's definitely worth it.
