Red Faction Guerrilla

Awesome game!
Warband all the way for me...I have never played the other two, but, I gotta tell you Warband has taken up more of my time in the last year than any other game I have played...And I still love it. Multiplayer can get a bit hard and annoying with 2handed teenage-wrist spammers, but, with some skill and a good shield even an older person can hold their own alright...Anyways the single play in Warband is absoulte fun, you level up your character, lead more and more men, make friends with the nobles, then you start counquering and you can even become king/queen...Not convinced? Then I guess, maybe Warband isn't your cup of tea, its been out for well over a year and been on huge sales many times on many sites, and it has gotten great reviews. So anyways I don't know what else this pesant can really add to that...All I can say, is if you like RPG's, and especially Sandbox RPG's, you are really missing out if you haven't played Warband...just some advice, don't play the realistic mode the first time, it would probably be too hard what without being able to save any time...oh and if you are not interested in the multiplayer the original Mount and Blade is on sale on impulse today for cheap...while not quite as good as warband it is still good (though you can't be a king/queen in it) if you are on the fence and don't want to spend a lot, well get the original cheap now, and if you like it, get Warband at the next super sale...That's my advice at least. Sorry for going on, but, I really love Warband it is a great game, and I doubt you will be dissapointed. Good luck deciding. :-)

EDIT: Warband is now 50% off at GamersGate =)

wodmarach: Is it bad that whenever people mention Minecraft to me I want to tell them to go play with real lego not imaginary lego?

Minecraft's price will go up once again when it is officially released. Its at a lower price right now because its beta.

EDIT:
About your earlier single player comment. Minecraft is no different in that respect than a shooter. Everybody says they are better with a friend, but they are still fine in singleplayer.

Well, you can adjust the settings for the AI...The battles are fun, really fun, of course the AI isn't as good as a real person, but, I must say, you wouldn't want them to be, as often times you are facing hordes of enemies, the joy is cutting a swathe through dozens of foes single handedly from atop your steed, or spotting an arrow into 40 foes eyes in a siege. The AI though is not bad at all, though personally my reflexes aren't as good as when I was younger, so maybe I find them more challenging then others, so my opinon may not be as true for some, I don't know. Anyhow, it's a huge game, with battles aplenty, and lots of different weapons and armors for you to choose from, and companions you can recruit and level up with you..Speaking of which there is a quite a few skills you can master, from tactics, to engineering, to trade, to wound treatment, to looting, well, I won't name them all, but, you really have a lot of choices....and the battles, they are really fun, and have not in my hundreds of hours of experience gotten boring. Today would be the day to get it I suppose, Gamersgate has the complete pack on a major sale (though Warband is the one you should really play, it is the best, hands down). If you do get it, I really hope you will enjoy it too, I was very suprised when I first played the original years ago, and I keep coming back for more even now. :)

I think the AI is "sufficient". If you play it correctly, it's far more deadly than in other games, considering you get KO fairly easily if you're not careful. This can all be adapted to your playing stile in the options menu.
I didn't know what was minecraft.. Only I knew that looked like legolandia. I looked at the picture and thought.. (what is this, I mean really)
And still I wonder what's that ruckus all about.

As geth say.. Don't f*ck with us, as we are many.

Indeed...If you want to survive and fight in the middle of a battle you will need good armor at least the heraldric mail in my opinion..Further you must have a charger, otherwise early on especially, if you don't have enough troops the enemy will cut that horse right from under you...I find the best killing weapon on horse to be the awlpike, with a little bit of strength (4 powerstrike or even just 3) you can take out most foes with a signal hit...of course you will have to find what works for you...Sieges though, I have found the need to definetly stay out of the main fighting at first, and hit the enemy with arrows or bolts, especially if you are outnumbered quite a bit, but don't worry, even that is fun! These are just tips of me trade, from a veteran, take it as you will...Oh and Nords have the best infantry, huscarls, take towns and castles with these boys, they can break most anyone. I know I write a lot, but, I suppose its because even just thinking about this game is fun! =)
