Cool, that would be my pick too.

I really enjoyed Dark Messiah but the endings are garbage. You get to make an interesting decision in the game and you never get to know how it turns out. The ending only gives you the aftermath up to about 5 minutes after the defeating the final boss. LAME.

I guess the consequence's for Ubi's new Ashan game world were too massive and they chickened out. :(

Nope, I respectfully disagree. I think it was a very effective way to show me all the consequences of what I did, with all those voices giving character and emotion to what could've been only a list. It left me ... more satisfied than I was with pretty any other game's ending recently.

Yeah, this is frustrating. They had the storyline planned out but won't even release a synopsis. It's not like Mumbo Jumbo is ever going to do anything with it.

We have no idea how Elexis was restored (Blade wasn't even suprised to see her) nor the significance of the injections.

Final Fantasy 7 easily comes to mind. When I first played it years ago, I was really into it and what kind of ending did I get? Big flash, then image of dead ghost girl, and finally the credits. The credits were then followed by some scene 500 years into the future and that was it. I have never experienced a more anti-climatic ending. Looking back, FF7 wasn't as great of a game as I originally felt it was (it was still good) but damn was that ending disappointing.

They then tried to compensate years later with that DVD movie which I had mixed feelings about but damn that game's ending was crap.

The series needed something fresh and new and PoP 2008 Delivered - It was a breath of fresh air and just what the series needed, I say this as a fan of the series myself

It's just like with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

I'm probably the biggest Castlevania fan ever and I loved what Mercurysteam and Konami did with the series, It progressed it forward and gave the series a new breath of life overall: The game was highly polished and it delivered

But what do the "Fans" Do? They bitch and complain, these "Fans" Want nothing more than to play the same 2D games over and over and SOTN Clones over and over

It's the exact same thing with the Sonic fanbase, can you believe there were actually "Sonic fans" who HATED SEGA FOR SONIC GENERATIONS?

Halo reach... you survive an entire army attacking you to finally be taken down by a squad of (most likely) grunts...

Hmm, People say this a lot about Monkey Island 2, but I didn't liked the ending of the third one!

I swear! It's not THE most disappointing of all, but it was pretty disappointing considering the beginning and middle of the game.

Sin 1 was released at the same time as Half Life 1. It was completely overshadowed by HL and it was never a commercial success.
So when it finally get a sequel it followed the brilliant new idea. Episodic gaming. valve hyped it so much and they couldn't be wrong right?
The idea was a disaster and while Valve could shrug it off (but still not enough to release HLEP3) it completely killed Sin.

You can say the series was killed twice by Valve :)

Most disappointed endings... hmm yes well LOST ending sucked though that's a TV series game wise I'll have to say Spell Force Order of the Dawn ending was a big really? Okay! Haven't played the expansion pack that continues the main story line but the Original Camp ending really sucked to me. KOTOR 2 ending sucked though getting there was a blast. NightCaster ending sucked,

Invisible War endings were pretty much the shittiest of all time given the expectations set by Deus Ex.

Hydrophobia for failing to resolve jack shit before giving you a "to be continued next season" tv show type ending. I doubt there's going to be a next season.

Clive Barker's Jericho for being so fucking random. It's as if they had time for one half assed CGI sequence before shipping, rolled some dice and killed off half the party for no fucking reason whatsoever (really, there's literally no story reason for it), and then shit out some guy's tech demo for the engine, made it CGI, and called it the ending.
