Hey all, I am trying to move my GOG.com folder with all my games from my laptop to my PC. I have King's bounty working but I can't find any of my savegames. Where are they located on the computer? Also, while King's bounty is working, PST isn't.

Can anyone give advice?

I think it depend on your os and games. try my documents and c: users/ yourname
If you're using Windows Vista / 7 with UAC turn on and installed the game using default directory (C:\Program Files\GOG.com) your savegames might located at:

C:\Users\*your username*AppData\Local\VirtualStore\GOG.com

By the way, you must enable "show hidden file and folder" to access the VirtualStore folder.

If it's not there, maybe it's located simply at My Documents (C:\Users\*username*\My Documents)

Simply moving the game folder may not be enough for the games to run. The install process writes entries into the Windows registry that are required for the game to run properly, so you will likely need to re-run the installer for pretty much any game that is not DOSBox or ScummVM based.
I love you guys (the incredibly helpful majority of the internet). Thanks for the leads.

I don't mind re-installing, I want to find my savegames. I really wish they would be kept together and not saved in every god damned place under my computer.

Yea, I am win 7, standard version, not x86.
The vast majority of your saves will either be in the game folder itself, or in the appdata folder as wormholewizards mentioned. Or My Documents. Generally, if you installed the game to Program Files then Win 7 will put the savegames into the appdata folder unless the game is ancient, but some games will put saves there regardless of their install location. Others will put the games into My Documents regardless of the install location. No, it doesn't make any sense, and yes it is annoying to track all of them down.
How do I reveal hidden folders and files?
I have already checked the mentioned folders and locations except for the hidden one.

Control Panel > Folder Options > View > "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"

Tools->folder options->View-> show hidden files and folders (I think, I only have a Win2000 virtual machine available at the moment, but it should be similar in 7)

... or just type the path in the address bar.

I think program / application / games that were originally not build with Vista / 7 and UAC compatibility in mind, like most of GOG classics will be redirect to VirtualStore. It's something that was developed by Microsoft since Vista days, to enhanced security.

Woot. Thanks all, I found them in that hidden folder. Seriously, though, could they make it more frustrating!
So, if I want to install the game on my PC (as opposed to my laptop), I will need to copy the save game folders to the same location on my PC (same invisible folder)?

Or you install the games to C:\Games rather than C:\Program Files, copy the saves to the game's install folder, and the games will be able to read and write to their own folder rather than being directed to the rear-end of nowhere.

Yes, if you install the game at the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com). But if you install the game at different location (anywhere beside C:\Program Files), for example
C:\GOG.com you can copy and paste your save game straight inside the save game folder of your game. The UAC will have no effect on this and you don't need admin rights to attempt any changes.

Many people suggest to turn off UAC, to avoid nuisance. But for me, i prefer to just changing the installation directory.
We learn something new every day. I will save this thread to my techy folder.
Thanks for the help all.
No problem. To be honest i just discover about VirtualStore just last year from my brother. Didn't know it's integral part of Vista / 7 before my time at GOG.
