MichaelFurlong: Hmmm, I am not really into These massive open RPGs ( I tend to get bored). However I have been meaning to give one a try, what should I go for:
Oblivion
Two worlds
Rissen
Gothic
Any others worth mentioning?

Morrowind before Oblivion, IMO. Not as pretty-looking but there are mods for that.

what is this?

Dominus: cute game but.. I was expecting older games from GOG :(

I agree, where are the older games? I mean WAY earlier. The last few games that GOG has put out are to new to be good old games.

Master of Orion and Master of Magic are not old?

Starkrun: You don't understand how bad the DRM was and how obscure this title was.... it fits here perfectly... unloved unplayed voted down, more DRM then any game ever had to date at release. Two Worlds is what GoG stands for, its what there core principle support.

This.

aluinie: Oh had to buy this its a pretty good game not the est ever but still good enjoyable. I wish that the music was part of the bonus as i loved the music for the game.

It's not? Then the slideshow on the home page is wrong. *checks game page* Hmm, you're right, no music shown.
@ GOG staff* Fix the slide or add the tracks please?
Another Polish RPG, but compared to The Witcher looks like a crap.

You are correct. I stand corrected. I hope GOG continues to release older games. This is to new for my taste.

Tantrix: Seems like GoG must release some newer releases to get to the older games.
Or the heads of GoG really love that game....

Well actually it's understandable when you think about it : making old game runs on modern system takes time : lot's of trial and error, plenty of potential compatibility problem, tons of testing, which means it cost a lot but because of the game age they will probably be forced to release it for 6$... while with a more modern game they basically only have to patch it, remove the copy protection and/or drm, and they are good to go with minimal risk and they can sell it for 10$
And then again in today video games world any games older than 6 month can be considered old :)
When I attempted to buy Two Worlds for my nephew, the sales associate at EB Games practically threw herself between me and the game "In the Line of Fire" style. This was shocking (umm, don't you want my money?) but turned out to be a very good thing. The next month, my nephew bought the game himself and, after about six hours of gameplay, was asking if Amazon.com did refunds.
I think Eurogamer said it best with this: "Unless you're astonishingly tolerant of technical and interface problems, and totally addicted to dull hack-and-slash RPG combat, don't buy this game. Forsooth."
I'm all about GOG making money, but I really wish they would stick to Good (or at least) Old Games.

Good release Tw + 2 exp, the whole experience , DRM free, good bargain indeed many techincal issues corrected. This certainly is an old game in the computer entertainement industry and fair good. I'll think about it.
Anybody downloaded it yet ? I'm getting a corrupt file error on all 3 files. Really don't want to download the whole thing again.
I got this recently for a dollar. The voice acting is horrible, but other than that it's a very solid and fun game.
Where is Soundtrack bonus?

When Psychonauts was released the peasant riot did not start to arise despite it being less than 5 years old.

But since the perceptive that it is a 'classic' or good game that no one played everyone was chummy. I have never played it and do not see myself playing it int he near future.
There are people that like the non classics and games that simply did not sell a lot but still had a niche audience. I like some of the games and hope GoG keeps releasing them.
And about this people bug ridden they mention right in the announcement it is Patch 1.7, which for any game I can imagine by .7 a good amount of fixes have been done and its playable.
Meh. Not into sub-par games. Will save my money this week. Good release though GoG!
