Nice one.
Suggestion tiem!
Which Ground Control game is better, the first or the second one?
Wow, that's a pretty big pack, way beyond my budget. Any recommendation anyone? I only have the Ground Control series. How is Lords of the Realm and Lords of Magic?
Ahhh! Publisher Promo Pack! You end up having these, and I end up with a list of games I've not had time to play getting larger. Thankfully, the half I have I've found the time to play and complete.
I'll see if I can restrict myself. I've been meaning to at least grab Empire Earth 2 after playing the first.

The first one is better imho. You have only a fix amount of units for every map, and have to think and plan well to be able to win. Also, you have to use the abilities of your units well. A wonderful game. The sequel is also good, but that's more like an RTS meanwhile the first part is more like a realtime tactics game.
So is Lord Of The Realm 3 really that bad? I'm in the mood for some medieval mud slinging and peasent bullying.
Now, THAT is a nice and big deal; I know there will probably be some who say "why is it only 30% if I buy them individually", but it's a nice one nonetheless. Anyway, anyone who likes strategy games should consider grabbing at least one title or two from here.
I personally don't have only 3 of them (EE3, Republic: The Revolution and Judge Dredd).
(As a side note... for $40.89, less than a standard, full-price new game, you get 11 games /which, counting the add-ons and separate games individually, adds up to 16/, most of which are great. How awesome is this? :-))

If you don't go about it expecting it to be like LotR1-2, then it's not that bad.

Except for LOTR3 which is quite mediocre, all games in there are quite good. Evil Genius is brilliant.

Lords of the Realm 2 is a very good game, though the estates management is imho way better than the real time combat. There aren't that many things to keep track of, so you don't have much micromanagement, but since the AI is quite good, the game is still challenging.
Lords of Magic has more of an emphasis on the real-time combat, which is unfortunate because it's not all that good. The game tries to be a cross between Heroes of Might and Magic and Lords of the Realm and doesn't quite succeed at either part imho.
Still, they're good games if you like turn-based strategy games. LotR 2 is the better game but LoM is still fun.
Seems I'll be able to escape with much of my bank account intact this time. Considering Republic, Lords of Magic, Ground Control or Empire Earth.
Which of the EE's would you recommend me? 1 or 2?

They have much in common, but EE2 gives you much more control over your game (settings-wise; there are a gazillion things to define before starting a skirmish game) and has a much better epoch-advancement system IMO. Others say it wasn't as much fun as the prequel, though.
If you've ever played Rise of Nations, many of EE2's aspects will be familiar, as it seems to be a mix of EE and RoN.
I think I may pick up Empire Earth but how does it compare overall to age of Empires aside from former members from that team working on Empire Earth. It's nice that it comes with the tech tree map (I'm looking at you EA when you repackaged Red Alert without the tech map). I also have an old computer gaming monthly magazine which has the full tech tree for empire earth.

The main difference is that in EE you evolve from the prehistoric age to the future on one map (at least in skirmish).

Ok, thanks. Think I'll get EE2 then (And maybe Lord of the Realms and Ground Control).
