I honestly don't feel that way. i mean, sure, I play Starcraft 2, and sometimes I look up my achievements if they open up a new avatar or what have you, but feeling 'connected' doesn't really add or substract anything from my single player experience. i play single player games to while boring hours away for my own personal entertainment, not to flaunt my progress with other people.

As long as some single player games keep being successful (a la Skyrim) I don't see the concept dying away. Adding multiplayer elements to a game that doesn't need it is wasting resources that could have improved the single player experience.

Why am I lowly rated? :/
If it's about the contents of the article, I don't support it, I'm only showing it to show how stupid EA/ devs can be.

I actually do feel better after reading this. I'm not whining about my need to feel connected to a bunch of faceless people while playing XBox in my parents house, whose permission I need to play on "the big TV." If living in my own house with my beautiful wife and playing games on the PC that I built myself means that I am not part of EA's core demographic then that is fine by me.

It seems to me this is a 6 months old article ... I don't see any other reason why you'd be downrated. But, as others, I may be mistaken.

Usually someone has the decency to just say, this was already discussed (link here), old news.

Anyway I don't care about the age of articles if they're either Interesting/funny, in fact I've been reading random Nintendo and Sega facts on the web lately.
