I want GOG to be THE source for older games, that will keep them forever, not just for me, but everyone else too..
So that when my kinda shizz happens to other people, they won't have to go through what I just been through...
Some people don't care about their games, simply because to them it's a sideshow at best..
I am a collector...I want my stuff to stay intact...not backed up on cheap CD's or DVD's..
It sounds to me like you're better off taking the builds from GOG.com and buying into an offsite cloud backup service, something like Mozy or Carbonite. That way, we get to do what we do best--sell games--and someone else can do what they do best--provide you with secure backups.
