So my girlfriend will be returning from a week away on work tonight. She told me before she went away that I never do enough for her and that she wants me to do something surprising for her return.... Well they do say, "be careful what you wish for."
So, I have a plan to take her out to her favorite restaurant once she feels like going out, and two books for her to read once home. The thing is that just felt a little under whelming, a little too normal.
So... I also bought a stag-do blow-up doll (god is she a troll), a snow white outfit for the doll and a red wig off a friend's little girl.
The doll is now 'sleeping' (I wanted sleeping beauty, but the dress was twice the price) in my girlfriend's favorite chair, with the two books beside her, awaiting the girlfriends return. (See the pictures below.)
There is also a reason my Snow White is deliberately a redhead instead of black hair.
My girlfriend knows I like redheads and always gets wound-up when I watch or play anything with a female redhead in a prominent position. When she read in one of her magazines about the woman playing Dr.Who's Amy Pond she banned me from watching Dr. Who on the television. So the red wig should be like a red flag to a bull.
When I told my friends about my idea for a prank they wished me the best of luck and told me that they look forward to any future injuries.
One also could not get it into their head that it is basically a balloon, so she has no openings, and kept wanting to buy the doll after I was finished with my prank.
I said I would send them pictures before and after this all happens, and I though I would like to share my crazy idea of fun with everyone.
So, I will post the aftermath tomorrow.
I also would like to know if anyone else ever did something like this to their girlfriend/boyfriend. Future ideas are always welcome.
