I do agree that there appear to be some questionable games on here, including one I remember reading a major review on which described an absolutely crippling gameplay flaw.
I will probably always pick and choose carefully so whether all games are really good or not makes less difference to me than it will to many others. But I do think it almost inevitable that GOG will start to stick more losers in its catalog. After all, what do you do next when you've gotten all the winners? Freeze your catalog forever? And if people are asking for crap and willing to pay for it ... how any businesses are going to turn away their money?

As has been said before, don't worry about GOG running out of GOGs. Think about it - every month there are usually at least three or four games scoring 8/10 or better. Often more. It was like this ten years ago too, even twenty years ago. This all adds up to an enormous amount of good games. Yes, some of them will be impossible to get due to licencing, et.c. Some of them will have aged poorly, and isn't even interesting any more. But the sheer amount of good games released over the years will still make it virtually impossible for GOG to run out of potential candidates for this site. And for every month that passes, some more GGs become GOGs.

DG: Yes, i know about those games and i agree; they are GOOD. :) But lately, with the exception of some games, i saw a decline in quality titles. I mean, Gorky 17? Alien Nations? Combat Chess? Kingdom: The Far Reaches? Seven Kingdoms? Robinson's Requie? And others. Some of this games i've played in their time and were not so good games, compared to others. Just mediocre, at best. Just look at the Top 50 wished games. Those are the games i wanna see here.

Gee, except for Combat Chess (which I agree is rather meh) , all of the games you mention seem to be cult favorites/niche titles. I mean, I remember seeing quite a few requests for Gorky 17. And Kingdom: The Far Reaches is made by the same guy who did Dragon's Lair. So just because you personally don't like them doesn't mean they shouldn't be on here, or that GOGs quality is declining. Now if they offer Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing on the other hand....;)

Agreed ...I really like the clean and neat and uncluttered interface.

Argh. I just had a horrible mental image of the GOG site converted to one of those cluttered, buggy, flash-only sites that take more than 2 minutes to load, even with a 10Mbit connection :-/

Nari: A little trick GoG could use is having 3/4 star+ as the default viewing mode. Sorts the bad games out pretty quick even if they are contractually obliged to offer them for sale.

Pretty sure that's every game on here..hence the name.

GOG has already pulled a few boners on some people.
So phailed purchases here are just as likely as they are at Steam or GamersGate - It's just that there's a more active and knowledgeable community here for troubleshooting and you don't have to worry about tangling in DRM ( Which trips up a lot of Steam and GG games).

As well, most of the games on this site are old titles and are more guaranteed to run on nine year old PCs like mine, where as I currently have over thirty Steam titles that I can not play until I finally get my new PC.

Good Old Games was a site I checked weekly, sometimes daily, for games I missed with great extras at a cheap price. GOG however, a dumbed down version of Steam with terrible sales, at No-DRM as a premium feature doesn't interest me at all. I haven't bought a game from them since they announced the new price points and new games, and I doubt I will again.
