michaelleung: They swore that their games would either be $5.99 or $9.99. To change the price model would be madness.
Haha, didn't notice the thread had been necro'd and thought this was sarcasm.

tfishell: Oh ... ummm, hey past michaelleung, got some news ...
To be fair, GOG's whole direction has changed since then. But we're definitely seeing some games that would normally have been subject to the $6 or $10 pricing if it wasn't for that change.

But then we probably simply wouldn't have those games on the site otherwise.
Market controls product. If a company is "bad" it is because the market allows them to be, tells them it is okay. Same with politicians.

What you would really be mad at in such a case is the majority of people, who don't give a shit about the stuff you do or don't share your value sense.
You know, I always thought the Necromancer class was underused in RPG's, but this is going a little too far.
I've decided to start downloading my games to back them up, one a day (since many are quite big). I didn't really care before, buuuuttttt ... now I do, I guess. ;)

If you had joined GOG a mere month earlier than you actually did, you would have already picked up that habit.
All these years and GOG is still going. They need to work on some areas, they still lack some features that are highly requested, but they're still here, and that's very awesome.

To be fair, Steam has been around for nearly 8 years, and it is still missing some highly requested features.
