Arkose: Compare the version numbers on the download page. When the main installer has been updated its version number will be the same as the universal update.
Kolto66: the same or higher, i assume? are you sure?
for example:
Pid installer: version 2.1.0.7
Pid universal update: version 2.0.2.6
this leads to the following questions:
a) does this mean that the installer is up to date?
b) does this mean that when i upgrade an already installed game with the universal update, the game goes up to 2.0.2.6 only, which would mean, that it would NOT be up to date?
c) if the version numbers have nothing to do with the game itself, but only with the installer and universal update respectively, then does this mean that it's enough to use the installer?
d) or should i use the installer first, the universal update second?
e) in the case of d): do i risk to downgrade the game again?
The patch being visible on your game shelf was a mistake on my part. The link has been removed. The installer contains the latest version of the game. Sorry about any confusion.
We try to make the patching process as painless as possible and so the usual rule of thumb is the highest version of the installer contains the latest version of everything in a game :)
