There are games that never get hyped much in the media and aren't considered milestones of their genre, but still success in accumulating a modding community so large and dedicated, that you could say the development of such title never really stopped. Such is the case of Knights & Merchants, a medieval real-time strategy with in-depth society simulation and epic-scaled armies. Even though the game came out in 2001, a community of talented fans doesn't stop in their effort to, fix and tweak it, make it enjoyable for the modern gamer, and support it with all the features the fanbase demands. All this goes towards a impressive mod, that we recently featured in one of our Mod Spotlight editorial. Get the game for only $1.79. check out the mod, and witness the magic of PC gaming community!

Not really fond of historical setting? Would you rather take a plunge into a fantastic realm quite different than our reality? The magical land you'll be visiting in Two Worlds: Epic Edition should easily satisfy all your escapism needs with its vast and lush gameworld, visuals that remain quite impressive even today, and a well-told story that often lets you digress from its main thread. The Epic Edition we offer you, comes bundled with the game's both expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Yours for only $2.99! The bigger, better, and more--erm--magical sequel, Two Worlds 2: Epic Edition, also complete with all the extensions and bundled with two great MP3 soundtracks, is also available 70% off (that's $5.99).

Shaolin_sKunk: Does Earth 2140 still have broken A.I.? Might skip the series if that's the case.
We have the DOS version that has the functioning A.I. See this thread in the section "Fixed by GOG staff..." for more details:

Shaolin_sKunk: I was just reading some of the reviews for it, apparently the A.I. would not build buildings and such in the Windows port. Bit of a moot point anyway since Judas has informed me that it includes the DOS version which does not have problems with the A.I.

OldFatGuy: I hope you have better luck getting the DOS version to work on your machine than I did mine. I purchased it (along with all of the Earth series games on special this weekend), and after reading about the missing AI in the windows version tried out the DOS version. I get no sound during the intro/movies/or briefings??. I say ?? because it seemed like when I went to play the game, a screen appeared that just... sat there. I assumed there must have been sound on it since it looked like a movie of some sort and it was giving me instructions/objectives for the scenario but I don't know, and then when I hit a button and got into the actual scenario, I finally had sound.

And trying to get it to start was fun. It took about 4 tries the first time, and about 9 the second (a message comes up on the screen saying it can take several tries to start).
And it's stuff like this, OFG, that we ask that you send it to Support, please :) If it doesn't work, write to us so that you can help us help ...you :)

HypersomniacLive: Completely unrelated question, quoted to get your attention.

I'm flirting with Jack Orlando, but I'd like to know if the two alarming things I read about both in the game forum and the reviews have been fixed:

1. Game crushes during intro.
2. Sound Problem: The music is overpowering the voices.

Have these been addressed?

Thanks ahead :-)
I am not sure as I don't deal with the technical side all that much but if you, or anyone else, experience those problems please write to Support. The more unique system configurations we have, the better the chance that we can find the problem or problems :)
