I have just visited most voted games wishlist and I am surprise to see that Kotor 2 is above (not by much) Kotor 1.

I felt that Kotor 1 was much better than Kotor 2. the latter is unfinished (not Obsidian's fault), the story is so complicated that after 2 weeks I cannot explain the details of the plot, the areas are uninspired (Peragus, the final planet) or wasted (NarShaada).

Who voted for Kotor 2 but not for Kotor 1?

Btw: The best NarShaada reproduction was in DF2 Jedi Kinight 2. Wadaya think?
Well, I voted for both IIRC. I do slightly like KotOR a tiny bit more than I like KotOR 2.
I would say I liked KoTOR more than KoTOR 2, not by a huge amount though. Anyway, the reason why people are voting for #2 and not #1 is that #2 isn't available anywhere digitally (as far as I know). At very least, it's not on Steam or GG.
KOTOR 2 likely has more votes because it is virtually impossible to find on sale anywhere these days, while you can get KOTOR 1 for 2 bucks in the average Steam sale.
Most people like newer games with more features, which is why Obsidian keeps getting work as scab developer.re
While I voted for both, I consider KOTOR II the better of the two. KOTOR was basically your run of the mill Star Wars adventure. Typically Bioware, imo. (And I don't think it is bad, it is brilliant, but it simply is far to bland and generic in story and storytelling to capture me like KOTOR II did).

KOTOR II however is ambitious, weird and interesting, unfinished but with a glimpse of greatness just around the corner. Typically Obsidian, imo.

I've always preferred Obsidian(Black Isle/Troika) over Bioware. Bioware was always the high polished, streamlined perfect (but unfortunately rather bland in some aspects. exeptions like DA:O do exist however). Obsidian was always more the infant terrible, overambitious and unorganized. But in the end, more interesting.
