Fox News and the 700 club almost makes me glad the media is liberally biased............almost.

Sounds about right...
It's not a sale that reflects the love and effort poured into it. But it's not bad for a game that has been a PC game for quite some time before the console release.

If you put them together... that is 1.4 milion copies sold for 1 year and a little.... so pretty nice job considering that CD Projekt Red is not a big dog yet.

It's not at all shabby for a game that had nothing of the publicity games from the major publishers enjoy.

Plus, being based in Poland, that money will go a lot further than their US / Western Europe rivals' money will.

And if they release it on Games on Demand for Xbox360... they may even sell more copies... cause people do use it a lot....

If possible, sure. I think they'd do better releasing it on the next Xbox and / or Playstation. This generation is really long in the tooth now and Witcher 2 is the kind of game to tax even powerful PCs. The port looked a good one, but I bet quite a bit has been lost in the translation all the same.

Not much cut in graphics... they better concentrate on their next game ;)

Depends on how much of it gets taxed. Our government will come a-callin' for money...

Isn't that a part of the reason that GOG is all over the place?

I would think so and I support this since I don't want our minister of creative accounting to get more money than he already does :D.
I don't know if anyone knows this, but TW2 XBox 360 version uses every single content warning. While this is going to be awesome for some people it's going to make it a grown ups only game (probably as it should be, but still, Aunt Sally is going to opt for Mass Effect 3 or something for a gift, just due to that).

Kingdom of Amalur had a lot of cross promotion with ME3, which probably boosted its sales somewhat, I expect long term the XBox 360 sales of TW2 to reach or eclipse the PC sales.

If anything the higher sales of Kingdom of Alamur compared to Witcher 2 shows how little graphics and other aspects of the actual game actually do matter compared to advertising. (just played the demo of kingdom of Akamur and it was a boring buggy mess) Unfortunately, this may just cause companies to spend even more on advertising and less on the actual game. :

But as we all know, only the first few months of sales mean jack shit...

If TW2 was not self published you'd largely be right.
