Add Linux versions of games completed
Who the Hell marked it completed?! This cannot be ever "completed," the same way the catalog always grows. What are you smoking, GOG?
There a re a number of games on GOG that have existing Linux games that aren't available on the store; this is not the definition of "complete."
I think the wish has never been "complete" if you count as "Linux games" also those that run under an emulator where a Linux version exists (SCUMMVM/Dosbox) . There are, for example, still games with a Windows installer running under the Windows version of Dosbox, but with no Linux installer. Recently found: "Betrayal at Krondor".
Why is this listed as completed when it isn't completed?
I agree -- while I personally am currently using WIndows 10, I have been thinking of moving to Linux more and more these days. So Linux support is something I want more of even though I'm not currently using Linux.
Just looked at my Metro games, not Exodus. Still only windows version to download I see . . . . . .
There are games which have a Linux version elsewhere but it's not offered here. This wish is no longer "complete".
Plenty of GOG tiles are still missing their Linux port: Limbo, System Shock: Classic Edition (the Steam release of the Enhanced version includes a ported version of Classic), System Shock 2 (essentially runs in a Wine wrapper, but would still be appreciated), Torchlight, Penumbra...
GOG does pretty good job selling Linux games. Still, GOG Galaxy for Linux will be appreciated.
Still have plenty that need a Linux build.
Not finished yet... PLEASE GOG!
only 25% completed, you are big liars...
Agree: NOT COMPLETED.
There are some games that have a Linux version, granted.
There are other games that are promoted as having a Linux version but the Linux version is not available.
And there are games that have no Linux version although the game itself was sold or is available on other game client (e.g. Steam with Linux version, and I don't even mean Proton)
Not finished yet..... Please GOG!
Not finished yet..... Please GOG!
Loads of games still missing, although they are available for Linux elsewhere. Pretty weak, it has to be said. I hope both CDPR and GOG put more effort into putting out Linux versions of games in the future.
POSTAL 2
Torchlight ? Quake? Nuclear Throne ? Anomaly Defenders ? etc...etc... Wishes to end ... really ?
I think GOG put the status "completed" so they don't bother to pay attention to it anymore. You know, because there is no "rejected" status.
Penumbra Collection still doesn't have linux version
Wait so does this mean that any and every game on gog.com is now available to play on Linux so distributions like Ubuntu?
in progress; because Witcher 3 Linux still missing.
Why does this say completed? There are many games on GOG, for which linux ports exist, that GOG does not offer linux versions of.
A few examples: Metro Redux games, Quake 1-4, Saint's Row 2-4, Descent 3, etc.
This hasn't been finished. Could it be changed to "in progress"?
Not so complited - Dust: AET is still win/mac only, for example, while its avalaible on steam as native linux version
Book Of Unwritten Tales 1 and CC, La-Mulana, Limbo, both Metro reduxes, NWN, Paper Sorcerer, the penumbra games, and several older FPSs all are lacking linux versions, so I wouldn't really call this complete.
Thank you GOG
*cough* Dust An Elysian Tail *cough*
And Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is as well :(
Looks like the Metro Redux games are still missing their Linux ports here...
Guys, are you kidding? You refuse to provide Linux versions of games which are officially available elsewhere. You enforced us to buy them there and still write "complete" here? Meanwhile I spent quite a lot of money outside of GOG, just because of it. Don't understand me wrong, I do like GOG very much and I'd prefer to have all my games in one place, but you just don't want to give us a chance to stay loyal. You are betraying yourself putting this one to "complete", sorry...
Completed? Not really, too many games that have linux versions on other distributors don't show up on GOG, or are extremely late. So this still pretty much "In Progress"
provide real linux ports not this wine crap
Thank you, GOG!
Bastion?
I also noticed the absence of the Linux version of NWN Diamond.
And the GNU/Linux version of Neverwinter Nitghts Diamond ? :(
Thank you ! But where is the GNU/Linux version of Fez ? :'(
Fez is available as a Linux version on Steam, but not on GOG.
trine enchanted edition is available for linux... add please
Why are there so many Linux games with official releases not available for download on GoG?
Can you add Witcher 1 linux download please!
Can you put unreal tournament 2004 on linux too?
HURRA!!
I bought my first game on GOG.com for Linux. Sid Meiers Colonization. I'll hope you will add more Strategy Games for Linux in the future ;)
ty GOG.com for making a good start on adding linux support. really appreciate it.
Thanks for all games so far. I'm waiting for more!
thanks for witcher 2 on linux! Hope witcher 3 gets real native :)
Where are the Linux version for :
- Trine 2
- Brutal Legends
- Hotline Miami
- Shadowrun Return + Dragonfall
- BROKEN SWORD 5 - THE SERPENT'S CURSE
- WARGAME: EUROPEAN ESCALATION
- Amnesia
- and others games which are all available on Steam ?
Thanks
Thanks for adding Linux versions, but if I may ask: Why are so many native linux titles still missing?
NWN1 is linux native, ut2004 is linux native, not even the semi-native version of the Witcher2 is available... only lots of Dosbox games...
I know it is not super easy to offer support, but like this it looks like Linux just doesnt supported newer games ("newer" as in 10 years old).
Could you at least add a "Linux support is work-in-progress" tag to those games which you are actively working on (even if the date is not clear). That might make me buy them if they are part of some weekend offer or such.
