More soundtracks!!!!! in progress
Right now GOG doesn't have more, it has less. I'm the most confused why some games like HROT or Lunastice don't have any while they in fact do elsewhere, or why some have only MP3 while it's both MP3 and FLAC on Steam. Like c'mon, get oneself together and require the devs to provide equal service at the very least, GOG should be better than this.
I want to ask GOG to rework model of selling GAME SOUNDTRACKS, I like to listen Soundtrack more often then play games, So I want to have opportunity to but GAME SOUNDTRACKS even if I do not have base game. My friends all are supporting my idea!
Not only should they add soundtracks that are missing, there really should be the option to purchase soundtracks without buying the base game. Crypt of the NecroDancer is an example of a game where I like the soundtrack far more than the game itself. There are plenty of others where I won't make the mistake of purchasing the game in the first place and have just gone looking elsewhere for the soundtrack. GOG would get a lot more money out of me if they would include more soundtracks as DLC, especially if you could purchase them without buying the base game.
gog doesn't give a shit about soundtracks. Every single time I'm interested in a game, I find their soundtrack on steam and not here. They are lousy are curating, and are slow to adjust to the market demands, this is why they are so far behind steam.
Please add the Florence's soundtracks/OST's
Please add the soundtrack for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway!
And free if a licence to the pertaining game is owned.
I would love to buy for example Witcher 3 OST and Jazz Jackrabbit 1,2 OST on gog.com.
Yes please! Off the top of my head I miss the soundtracks from Ori and the Blind Forest and Hotline Miami. For example I absolutely loved Cupheads OST and was so very happy to be able to buy it through GOG!
"And all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five? A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head."
I just added the flac soundtrack of Armed and Dangerous to the forum. It can be reconstructed from the game files with a bit of technical knowledge and effort, so there's no reason not to add it to the game's extras.
I was sooooo close to purchase TES III Morrowind again, but without soundtrack, the steam version has to do it ;-)
A FLAC version of the Grim Fandango Director's Cut soundtrack (only available as MP3 at www.sumthing.com/p/grim-fandango-remastered-directors-cut/ ) would be an instabuy!
How about Terraria volume 3?

Especially for games with a gripping story line, listening to the sound track lets you relive the wonderful gaming experience, just as you want to remember your successes for games that you put a lot of effort into. It's a pity the sound track for Hitman Codename 47 is not available, I really spent some time on that one.
Machinarium needs Robot (Street) Band soundtrack too www.pretey.com Because its Collectors Edition and have to be.
Yeah before adding soundtracks, better to get the hands of better quality ones, even if i need to put a little extra (for losseless format) , little humble store widgets (but need to be optional).
Bring forth the soundtrack for Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss and Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds! ^_^
Just make sure you add them in an acceptable quality. You will have to upload the Prince of Persia (2008) soundtrack again, because that one just WASN'T in an acceptable quality.
Yes please add soundtracks where you can. (Votes).
To people like BloodGod65: I'd recommend being careful about buying a game ONLY for the the soundtrack. It's probably wiser to think of the OSTs as supplementary material as, of course, a BONUS. GOG may not always be able to release complete edition soundtracks because of licensing issues; a more official soundtrack on iTunes or Amazon MP3 may contain songs GOG doesn't have, but it may cost significantly more (like $9.99 by itself).
Definitely agree. I've already bought several games I didn't even want to play just so I could get the soundtracks. Although I have been disappointed a few times (when I bought Stranger's Wrath it was only a few songs. The actual soundtrack is much larger. Ended up having to get it off iTunes). So they should make it clear whether it's full or sample. Also if it's official or just ripped from the game (I believe it was one of the Icewind Dale soundtracks that was initially messed up, though it has since been rectified. Many of the songs off Fahrenheit are also poor quality)
i would buy all the legacy of Kain games on GOG if they had the soundtracks (i still own original copies)
Soundtracks add a lot of value for me.
Flac quality sountracks would also be a great idea.
Yep definitely more soundtracks where possible :)
I'm right there with you guys. Music has, at times, swayed my decision and got me to purchase a game that I was planning to pass on. GoG should have samples available; it might just boost sales!
I have to say that the games soundtrack is one of the most important part in my opinion. On a different note I would love if the Gothic 3 soundtrack would be included in the bonus content for said game.
Sometimes the soundtrack itself is the reason for me to buy the game on GOG - more soundtracks means more sales which means more money :)
"Goddamn it. I wasn't going to buy Theme Hospital, I wasn't. Then you just had to link that demo video last page, I heard the music, I now I need it." " Yeah music sells me on a lot of games too. And the Theme Hospital soundtrack is so good. I love MIDI tunes. " forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/158876/gog-com-the-winter-sale-begins/p2

Crusader No Remorse has an awesome soundtrack. I would really like that to be added.
no more soundtracks
GOG doesn't have "Contacts", sorry. (aside from people you PM)
+1 tfishell. my girlfriend just downloaded Arcanum (which I gifted her) and was wondering how come no sounds were included, just to realise they are all kept in mp3 within the game folder... Btw, why can't I add the people redeeming my gifts to my Contacts? Is there any other way to add contacts like a user search or something? I couldn't find any.
Oh, and I could use information on what games have the OSTs stored in their game directory/folder.
Hey, I'm working on a GOGMix that features links where people can find soundtracks not available on GOG. www.gog.com/mix/games_without_soundtracks_and_where_to_find_some If you happen to know of a place that has a killer soundtrack here on GOG (I've just been using Google right now), consider sending me a message. I won't accept links to torrent sites however, and if the soundtrack is being sold on a place like iTunes or Amazon, out of respect for the artists, I will link there. (Older games are different b/c most of those soundtracks aren't being sold.) Oh, and if it is helpful to you, consider voting. ;)
I agree that soundtracks can push the sale of a game for me such as Assassins Creed, Earth Worm Jim and Symphony. Some games here I would like to see with their soundtracks are Unreal (All), Broken Sword 2, Time Commando, Spell Force 1, Book of Unwritten Tales just to name the ones I own separate soundtracks for.
I know this is "in progress" but I want to add my 2 cents as well. I have honestly bought games that I will probably never play (i.e. not my genre of choice) simply b/c I've heard that their soundtracks are not to be missed. The inclusion of a soundtrack is most certainly a major selling point for me. The soundtracks also provide excellent background music to play at the office during the week since 99% of the soundtracks are instrumental and intended to be background/atmosphere music from the get go.
I also would love to see Arcanum soundtrack downloadable.
Every game on GOG should be available for purchase with a "Full" in-game soundtrack .!
I still have copies of these games and can force them to run (in general)... but the soundtracks. O_O
Arcanum could certainly do with a soundtrack!
Add sound track for star wolves. it rocks
I also bought some games just by their soundtracks. However, most of my games have incomplete or none soundtrack bonuses ( Unreal 2, Unreal Gold, Descent 2, Ultima Underworld, Might & Magic 5, Might & Magic 7, 8 and 9) to name a few.
Yes! I'd like to add that it would be great to have additional soundtracks too for some titles that were released on both PC and Amiga for example, since there's a huge difference between the midi-version and the mod-version in many cases.
I agree. I would like to see soundtracks on the unreal-games.
