gogtrial34987 As required by the GDPR for customers from the EU, and as vastly appreciated by everyone else, make certain that all privacy-related options and settings have a default setting which exposes the least amount of information.
Privacy isn't just a right for your customers, it's also a feature you as a store can distinguish yourself by when done right.
Kominto 1) The privacy settings are really easy to acces, if you care about your privacy JUST CLICK ON "PRIVACY SETTINGS", STOP BEING LAZY!
2) The only informations that peoples can see are really futile things such as wich games you play, wich achievements you've got, ect...
I'm all for privacy, its really important, but peoples really complain about stupid things now...

Graymatter I am seriously pissed off. I didn't even know about the profiles until today so my information has been floating around for everyone to see. FFS, GOG, this is not acceptable. They opened up my profile to everyone without even telling me.
joppo The fact that there is even a NEED for this wish is astonishing. I expected GOG would still see us as people (and privacy is an inherent right for people) but apparently we're either the product like in facebook or just walking wallets.
Trilarion That should be a given. Opt in instead of opt out is the only reasonable way to deal with privacy issues.
SpiderFighter Not true. look at the date. Privacy settings were updated the 25th, two days after profiles went live.

gogtrial34987 @Tuknar: And the default setting for "Your Profile page" is "GOG.com users" instead of "only me". That's the exact opposite of "privacy by default", and the entire reason for this wish.
Tuknar PRIVACY SETTINGS WERE UPDATED EARLIER BEFORE GOG PROFILES WENT LIVE. CHECK EM FOR YOUR SELF AT www.gog.com/account/settings/privacy
