This is my introduction to the Armored Core franchise and Fromsoftware in-general. The joy of building and testing NEXTs to fighting other NEXTs is a thrilling experience of speed and hunk. Very anime as well
my first AC game that I found in a bargain bin along with a misplaced copy of Armored Core 5 in the box for For Answer. I was about 10 or 11 and while the game was at times frustrating for my child self I can't say I wasn't drawn to it. While it's sequel improved on it I think any progress into getting more Armored core on PC is a good thing
I only played this game recently, having to jailbreak my PS3 just to play it (buying a copy of the game is only possible through resellers for the cost of a modern AAA title). The game was really fun, the customisation is great, the story is a little lacklustre but still interesting, and the music is just divine. On its own, this game is still great, but it is almost perfect as a prologue to AC4A, the sequel that improves on this title in every way. Even so, having this game on pc would be fantastic.
Art of FightingThis fighting game began the story of the Sakazaki family and Robert Garcia. Yuri Sakazaki has been abducted by Mr. Big to punish her father, Takuma, and her brother, Ryo. To rescue her, Ryo and Robert must take on numerous enemies around South Town, eventually reaching the mysterious Mr. Karate. The passion of the game’s creators is evident in the unique game play elements introduced. These include an energy gauge that is depleted every time a fighter uses a special maneuver, Desperation Attacks that are usable only when a fighter’s health is low, and camera zooming that adjusts on the fly as fighters move around the stage. All these features ensure that players use strategy and tactics, rather than simply mash buttons. Adding to the mix are little touches such as characters showing cuts when they are injured and voice-over samples during cut scenes. Can you perfect the art of fighting and save Yuri?Action
Twisted Metal IIIIn this tournament, players are to engage in battle with opponents using various ballistic projectiles such as rockets. Players are also able to obtain various pick-ups strewn across the map to use to their advantage. The game sets down a survival of the fittest objective, in which the last man standing wins. Players can choose to either play against bots in a series of matches in story mode, or battle up to four friends in a split screen versus mode.Action Comedy Horror Thriller Survival

Twisted MetalTwisted Metal consists of a series of arena-based battles against an increasing number of opponents in increasingly large arenas. These battles culminate in a face-off with the winner of the previous year's competition, Darkside, who drives a large armored car which fires multiple missiles at once.
Players can choose one of 12 different vehicles with which to enter combat. Each vehicle has a distinct driver and special move. The controls consist of accelerator, brake, "tight turn" (essentially a handbrake) and turbo on the face buttons, with main weapons and machine gun selection and control on the shoulder buttons.
Arenas are populated with weapon pickups to re-supply missile stocks, repair stations for repairing damage to your car, pedestrians, and course stewards armed with either machine guns or missile launchers.Action Thriller Survival
