Story:Baroque is set in a post-apocalyptic world where an experiment led by a being called Archangel to understand the Absolute God caused devastating climate change, with surviving humans becoming physically twisted by manifestations of guilt. Baroque is honestly a game that lives in my head. It's a pretty cool role-playing game that i'd even call a roguelike to some extent. A game where you don't know why you're being sent into a tower with a gun with four bullets, being told by a angel to kill god? Yeah, that sounds fun. I really want this to be released just so we can have it over here in america. We already had the remake (and i wouldn't mind seeing that show up either) but i'd love to see the original come to america officially.
I played this after the fan translation came out and I fell in love with it. It's such a bizarre and compelling game that deserves more of a spotlight. It fits right in alongside modern games like Dark Souls, Darkest Dungeon, Buckshot Roulette and other stuff in that vein.
I'd love for this to come to PC as an easy way to get my friends and other people into it.
Rogue-lite where dying is the point. Fun, weird, Dark Souls style story telling (vague) worthy of multiple runs. Please GoG? It’s a niche game for sure but like Forsaken it deserves a second lease on life.
This is such a fun Role-Playing, Roguelike game with such interesting storytelling and such an artistic vibe. This is for sure a game worth preserving for years to come just so people can experience it, learn from it and be inspired by it. There's a fan translation and the community is there, people just need a good way to access it.
