I started development on CLASSIC GAME one day after hanging out in a storm drain. I felt that oldschool games had become harder to find and so decided to begin working on my own when I got home. It took me about 6 years to complete CLASSIC GAME, a time during which it went from black & white graphics to full color, grew in scale and scope, and generated many small fragments of ambient music. It was a highly experimental game but I feel it turned out fairly well. I learned a lot while making it. Cheers from Ontario, Canada.

This game.... It honestly should be preserved just for the technical skill and mystery alone. PLUS HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO FREAKING GOOGLE "ClAsSiC gAmE"?!?!? It is impossible. A few years back I helped "find" the game for r/creepygaming. I had started looking for the iceberg games from an older /X/ iceberg. Managed to find this one, a few others, and && (Twicefold Ampersand). It was a really fun experience, and in finding CLASSIC GAME, I found a talented artist, sadly unknown by their peers. It's a genuinely amazing game, with wild visuals and puzzles, a mind-blowing combat system for both it's time and RPG Maker 2000, and a super interesting plot that you really have to work to solve. I genuinely hope to see this and the rest of their games on here. I'm sure Lewis would be excited too! Please, everyone, check out this game and the artist. They also make super cool soundscapes and music, they make super cool gifs, and they even have some game info on their YouTube channel! Honestly this game is such streamer bait too I've been trying to get SuperEyeparchWolf and a few others to play it for a few years. Thank you for your time, CLASSIC GAME is the Classic Game of All Time!!!!

a couple of years ago I went digging thru some old uboachan threads and found a quietly ignored reply where HORSES' MUSIC-DOGS had posted CG EP. some considerable digging later, I became utterly entranced by the whole of his artwork, which exists scattered in an enormous heap dating back over a decade. of his games, naturally, CLASSIC GAME was the first I had played and its really a superb work. it isn't a great game, great games would come in later releases, especially and in particular the recent release of HOME GAME 3, but I digress. CLASSIC GAME is an immaculate -work of art-. The air is bitterly cold, the weight of the atmosphere is crushing, and absolutely full of secrets (a common theme of all of the games!) - fascinating at the deepest level. I would unhesitatingly recommend CLASSIC GAME to anyone (and have, to many people) as well as the rest of the games and encourage them to dig through the heaps of non-videogame works that HORSES' MUSIC-DOGS has created. In digging through them, you are likely even to find a remarkable thematic consistency and narrative baked in with a frankly ridiculous level of care and dedication. How these works have gone so quietly undiscovered for so long is as much of a mystery as the works themselves. edit: oh, and lets note for good measure, this post was written while listening to Morning, birds EP :)

Arcturus: The Curse and Loss of DivinityKorean RPG developed by Gravity (makers of Ragnarok Online) and Sonnori and later published in Japan by Nihon Falcom. Predecessor to Ragnarok Online with interesting characters and world and combat system similar to Grandia. Arcturus is a Korean-made role-playing game in Japanese style, similar to Grandia II in visual presentation. The player can choose between two prologues chapters (either Elluard's or Sizz's), after which the two stories converge. There is no overworld in the game, and areas are interconnected. Battles take place in the same environment as exploration, and are turn-based. The player can navigate characters on the battle field and also take their speed rankings into account, as executions of attacks and other moves depends on them. Magic can be learned by certain characters and is divided into four elements: Water, Air, Earth, and Fire. Casting spells requires a certain amount of real time when in combat. Characters learn new spells by repeatedly using available ones in the correspondent category. Those who do not have access to magic can execute various special attacks with their own separate point gauges. In addition to HP, characters also have "barrier points", which are reduced first when enemies damage them.
