Story:A version of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, including the added content in Afternoon of Darkness, was released for Microsoft Windows via Steam on February 24, 2016, retitled as Disgaea PC. The initial release was panned by critics on launch due to its many bugs, which included persistent crashes, save file loss, and poor performance, even on high-end PCs. A patch was released soon afterwards that fixed many of the bugs. Another patch was released for the game later that added the four characters previously exclusive to Disgaea DS. Players who bought the game during the 2016 Steam Summer Sale would also earn free in-game cosmetic items for Valve’s first person shooter game Team Fortress 2.Show more

Admittedly, this was my very second Disgaea game, with the first one I've tried being Disgaea 2 back on the PS2. Anyway, it was with this game that made me develop a deep appreciation for strategy RPGs. While it's great that NIS America does release some of their games on GOG, it wouldn't be the same without them bringing their flagship franchise here.

In the mid-1990s, the popularity of Doom led to many shareware "Doom clones", with Radix being one of the few first person shooters which takes place in a zero gravity environment and where the player controls a ship rather than a human. In some sense, Radix is superficially similar to Descent. However while Descent had full 3D maps with six degrees of motion, Radix uses the earlier 2.5D map designs of Doom clones. These are characterized by flat levels with no rooms over rooms, albeit with slopes of various degrees.
