This is the most compelling story I have experienced in a game. In particular a certain plot twist in an Arena I cannot imagine working as well in any other medium. Making the somewhat tedious grind inherent in this kind of RPG actually give an immense emotional story payoff I consider a stroke of genius I have not seen replicated anywhere else.
That my experience with playing this game on my own holds a similar place in my heart as playing 'Brothers' with my actual younger brother, and playing 'To the moon' with my wife might be telling of how big an impact this game had on me.
I am sad that the unpolished presentation and way of distribution probably made very few able to discover and recognize this gem of a game. My hope would be that the presence on GoG with the configs needed to make it run fine on modern systems might revitalize the game, and make many more be able to enjoy the unique experience this game provides.
