Story:A remastered collection of the .hack//G.U. series with Improved graphics, systems, and game elements. This collection has an additional 4th volume continuing the story 16 months after the end of the 3rd game.
There is also a movie version of the story, called .hack//G.U. Termination Disc, that goes over the story of the first 4 .hack games and acts as a prequel to the .hack//G.U. trilogy ending just before the first game begins.

The 3rd BirthdayThe game is an action role-playing game described by Square Enix as a "cinematic action RPG". Director Hajime Tabata noted that the gameplay and plot are intertwined due to a newly introduced ability called "Overdive," an ability that lets the player switch bodies with one of their team members, allowing them to control friendly NPCs. Teammates can be ordered either to target specific enemies or to defend themselves in combat. The player is able change their controlled character in real-time, intermixed with their combat actions. Lost OdysseyLost Odyssey is set in a world in which a "Magic-Industrial Revolution" is taking place. While magic energy existed in all living creatures beforehand, it suddenly became far more powerful thirty years before the beginning of the game. Because of this, it has affected society greatly, with devices called "Magic Engines" harnessing this power for lighting, automobiles, communication, and robots, among other uses. While previously only a select few could wield magic, many magicians gained the ability.
