There's something about this game that stuck with me mind through all these years. Despite its age, its magic never really left. The game does a fantastic job doing tons of things with not much. It feels big and immersive, almost like what I'd be imagining myself when playing pretend as a kid. The world is hostile, you're just a kid, but you'll get through with perseverance and cleverness. Each section keeps things fresh and unique without getting boring. Oh, and don't get me started on those fantastically animated, gruesome, yet bloodless death animations. Nowadays, it's hard to play the game again without owning the original PlayStation copy. I wish it was on PC!
i used to have this game in CD, it was so hard to play at the time but i miss so much, i cant find it and will be awesome if GOG could bring it back to me and all gamers around the world
Beautiful in its straightforward cruelty - to main hero and to the player, got very strong emotions because I felt so sorry for the boy.) Its dark atmosphere and gorgeous landscapes are enchanting.

It felt like playing a classic Pixar story, full of heart (not just darkness). It's a lengthy adventure with elaborate cutscenes every time you ventured into a new area. The gameplay is all about memorizing enemy timing, animations, and running through hazardous environments while fending off enemies with your laser bug zapper. It was challenging but wanting to see the next great cutscene was worth it. It was a hidden gem at the time and sadly never got the attention it deserved.

Игра из далекого детства, в котором еще не было ничего из того, что есть сейчас. Но это именно та игра, которая на столько сильно сидит в памяти, что вспоминаются даже окружающие меня запахи, тех далеких дней

Played Heart of Darness as a 10-11 year old. It was scary and frustrating. I love these feelings also when I play today. Not the best platformer ever made but it was original. This would be an instant buy.

If you cherish atmospheric storytelling, games that dare to challenge you, or Eric Chahi’s unparalleled design philosophy, like i do, Heart of Darkness is a must-play. It’s a game that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, much like Another World did. Let’s rally to bring this forgotten masterpiece to GOG. Some memories deserve to live forever—and this one is begging for a second chance.
I still have the PC version in CD-Rom, but unfortunately I had some issues when I tried to play the game in my Windows 10. I would like to play this game again, I remember how beautiful, difficult and challenging it was to me when I was younger and I still did not finished this game.

It's a crying shame it took so long to make this game. When it was released, everyone was hot for high res or 3D graphics, no one was looking for a 2D game that looks as if it was made for DOS. I bought it anyway ... and boy is this good. It's the next step for games like Another World, a bit more streamlined. It has it's share of unfair puzzles and is very frustrating at times, but overall the level design is quite good. The soundtrack was played by the London Symphony Orchestra, beating most what was around at that time. I still own the CD version, with the 3D filter glassess included. When you finish the game, you can rewatch the intro sequence in red/blue filtered 3D.

Sonic Adventure
Sonic AdventureSonic Adventure is a 3D platformer video game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The player can control six characters from the Sonic universe, each with their own gameplay and point of view of the story. The game is divided up into two types of levels: Action Stages and Adventure Fields. The division of Action Stages and Adventure Fields are a serious departure from all previous Sonic games. Adventure Fields are non-linear game stages that contain very few items, generally designed for puzzle solving, exploration and plot advancement. Action Stages are more speed based and have Rings scattered in them. Sonic Adventure was the top-selling Dreamcast game and received a sequel in 2001, marking the 10th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Prince of Persia
Prince of PersiaThe game is set in ancient Persia. While the sultan is fighting a war in a foreign land, his vizier Jaffar, a wizard, seizes power. Jaffar's only obstacle to the throne is the Sultan's daughter (although the game never specifically mentions how). Jaffar locks her in a tower and orders her, under threat of execution, to become his wife. The game's nameless protagonist, whom the Princess loves, is thrown into the palace dungeons. The player must lead the protagonist out of the dungeons and to the palace tower, defeating Jaffar and freeing the Princess in under 60 minutes. In addition to guards, various traps and dungeons, the protagonist is further hindered by his own doppelgänger, an apparition of his own self that is conjured out of a magic mirror.
