Excellent game for two players! I spent an entire summer in grade school over at my friend Brian's house. We played the hell out of this game where I piloted the legs of the mech while he operated the turret. It took team work to win that game be we eventually made it to the end. If you have kids you want to teach team work, this game will help them bond. Not sure, wait until they get to the ice level. When Player A fires the guns it pushes them backwards on the ice. That makes it really hard for the second player to control the legs. P.S. Single player with the SNES controls was terrible. Trying to move one way while shooting the turret another way was impossible. If converted to modern dual joysticks it will probably work.

Darius
DariusDarius is a two-dimensional horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up set in a fictional future. Uniquely among shoot 'em ups, the game's screen is three times wider than conventional size, and the arcade cabinet uses an arrangement of three screens to accommodate it. The player controls an ornate fighter spacecraft, named the Silver Hawk, and must navigate through scrolling terrain while battling a variety of fighter craft, ground vehicles, turrets, and other obstacles throughout the game's stages (referred to as zones in the game). The ship's arsenal consists of forward-firing missiles, aerial bombs and a protective force field, all of which can be upgraded by power-ups (in the form of large, colored orbs) that are dropped by specially-colored enemies throughout the game's zones. When the player reaches the end of a zone, a boss appears, which must be defeated to proceed. Once the boss of a zone is destroyed, the player is given a choice of which zone to play next via a branching path. While there are 28 zones in total, only seven can be played in a single run. A Sega Mega Drive port was produced in 2019 that is pre-installed in the Mega Drive Mini as a bonus game.

A related arcade game titled Dariusburst Another Chronicle was released on December 17, 2010, in a 32:9 dual widescreen cabinet. An update, Dariusburst Another Chronicle EX, was released in 2011. A revised port of the original game for iOS and Android, titled Dariusburst Second Prologue, was released on February 10, 2012, and October 24, 2015 in the US. An enhanced release titled Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours has been announced for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Microsoft Windows. Wings of Glory
Wings of GloryWings of Glory is one of the relatively few World War 1 flight simulators. It is played in 1st person, with 3rd person camera options and uses Origin's RealSpace Engine. In the main campaign, players start as a fresh rookie pilot, newly transfered to England. Players can have conversations with other pilots, check the kill board for the entire squadron or commence the next mission. Missions begin with a briefing explaining the objectives and then players are put in the front seat of their aircraft. They must take off, reach the appropriate waypoints, perform the objective and return home to land. All planes have a machine gun, of varying capacities , which fires in front of the plane. Some planes are also able to carry bombs. There is no radar or other detection method on the planes, so players must be alert to oncoming enemies.
