I remember this title being unique as your character has to successfully make a parachute drop. I also remember it being fairly difficult. Borrowing a copy, I got frustrated by a sniper in the second or third mission and quit playing. As an adult I wish I had finished, but I can’t find any copies anymore.
An extraordinary game. The best of the saga, along with Pacific Assault. For me, these 2 games are 2GM's best good game i really liked it alore if it could come back purchase guaranteed

Played this game years ago on the PS3. Was blown away by the concept of starting each mission parachuting from a plane. My other WW2 games on the PS2 at the time were Call of Duty Finest Hour and Call of Duty Big Red One. The only other WW2 game I had on the PS3 was Call of Duty World at War. Yet MoH Airborne was the only one where it felt like you controlled which objective you went to first. Each of the weapons having their own upgrades were also really cool and made the game really replayable. The last level of the game also introduced me to the concept of German Flak towers. When I first saw that level I didn't believe that such structures were real. In my mind these had to be made up structures for the ultimate boss fight. Who would expend so much effort build such a large structure that could be bombed or shelled from afar? While the story of an active paradrop on these structures was definitely fiction, the actual tower did in fact exist! Imagine my surprise.
I am to say the least, a massive fan of the series. I have played all but two of the console releases (Heroes II and Warfighter). I own every single Medal of Honour on the the first two Playstations and some more obscure releases like Medal of Honour: Frontline HD. Out of all I have played, Airborne is my favorite Medal of Honour game. When I downloaded it off EA App using EA play, I was extremely disappointed when the game didn't work. Please port this game to newer OS' so I can play it as god intended.

Having played this on Xbox 360 is a blast. This was delisted on Steam because EA just don't give a $#!t for some reason. I had to purchase the cheap disc with SecuROM DRM (or TAGES in Europe) which is bricked. Also if you have already installed Nvidia PhysX Legacy version, you required to remove it by using the Aegis PhysX release. Which is just outdated and broken. So yeah, bring this in. Get General Arcade to port it. I'm sure they can patched it up easy.

This would be a great game to release on GOG! Airborne is one of the best and smartest WW2 or generally military shooters of the PS3 / X360 era, rivaled only by the "Hell's Highway" installment of the Brothers in Arms trilogy, which is available on GOG already. I played both of these not long ago (still own said consoles and their games), and they are both great in different ways. While HH is the perfect execution of the rather classic concept of archiving great tactical depth by allowing the player to give simple button-click commands to a small group of fellow troopers, Airborne had a completely different approach. The unique aspect of the game is the start of every level with a parachute jump. This is not only for the looks, but gives you the option to start the level at whatever spot you can land on. The nearest of like 5 or 6 objectives in a level will be the one that initiates the sequence of ongoings. This means a lot of replayability for a single player campaign. Sadly this was very much a flop back then, when everybody only wanted Modern Warfare and similar stuff and nothing else and all the time. As EA "made some decisions" afterwards, Airborne marks the end of not only the "vintage" WW II setting of the franchise, but also the end of Medal of Honor as a series that had a huge impact on the FPS genre in general, and not only once, but time and time again. Awesome game, sad story. So yeah, please reissue this gem!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
