Story:MediEvil is an action-adventure game developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Originally released in 1998 for the PlayStation, the game follows Sir Daniel Fortesque, a skeletal knight accidentally resurrected to battle the sorcerer Zarok and save the kingdom of Gallowmere. The game takes place across a variety of levels, many of which require certain objectives to be performed to progress. Sir Daniel Fortesque can use a variety of weapons, consisting of close range weapons such as swords and clubs to long range weapons such as crossbows. Many of these weapons can be charged for a powerful attack and some weapons, such as the club, can be used to access areas that are otherwise inaccessible. When not possessing any items, Dan is able to rip his own arm off and use it for both melee and ranged attacks. Dan can equip a shield alongside weapons to defend against attacks; though they can only take several hits of damage before breaking. Throughout the game, Dan can visit gargoyle heads of two varieties; green ones offer Dan information while blue ones allow Dan to buy services or ammunition by using the treasures he finds. Dan's health is determined by a single health bar, which reduces when Dan is hit. It will deplete completely if Dan drowns or falls from a great height. If Dan completely runs out of health, the game will end. Dan can extend his maximum health by collecting Life Bottles, which will automatically refill his health bar if it drops to zero. Also hidden throughout the game are Life Vials and Life Fountains that can replenish Dan's health and fill up any empty Life Bottles Dan has. In each level, there is a hidden Chalice of Souls, which can be collected if the player fills it with enough souls from defeated enemies (some Chalices are awarded via other means). If the player clears a level with a Chalice in hand, Dan is warped to the Hall of Heroes, where he can speak to a legendary hero who will give him rewards, such as weapons. If the player finishes the game with all the Chalices, the game's true ending is revealed.Show more

MediEvil is a game that always meant a lot to me. I grew up with the first two MediEvil games on PS1. Later in life, I gotten MediEvil Remake on PS4. Which also had the original version as an unlockable. Medievil is just one of those games I think of in terms of an Halloween game. You play as a skeleton knight taking on a great variety of things. Some great secrets within the levels. You get a lot of weapons with some being hidden ones. Some truly rememberable boss fights as well. I would be so happy to get the opportunity to own this on GOG. MediEvil is a game that sold well that a lot of people didn't get to play. The levels differs enough to make each one their own unique experiences. I always enjoyed the soundtrack with great sound effects.

One of my favorite games. Very well designed levels and characters. Good sense of humor of developers. You really feel the magic when you play it. GOG please, this series worth GOGification!

A classic that brings back memories of playing (and arguing with my sister over) the demo of medieval. It was on one of those demo compilation discs, either from a magazine or a friend. One of the most fun times i can remember playing on PS1. To have classic PS1 games on here would be freaking huge, especially MEDIEVIL!
This was poppin'', cool and charming, i'll never understand why it was abandonned, it has as much staying power than Spyro has! really a bummer, it should be rereleased!

Well, what can I say? A game that already risks being lost today, born, conceived, and played across generations of consoles. Such a masterpiece, carrying with it perhaps the best years of our lives—memories of lighthearted, joyful, and carefree days. The only one capable of reviving it today seems to be GOG. They’ve already allowed me, like many nostalgic gamers, to dive back into memories with masterpieces such as the *Resident Evil* trilogy and *Dino Crisis 1* and *2*. These games let us unplug for a moment and return to being children, even if just for a little while. I trust in the GOG team for the preservation and relaunch of this and other games we deeply miss today. After all, GOG is also about this: a store that delivers emotions through classic, timeless games that are still incredibly enjoyable to play, just as they were originally envisioned and created.
For being a game that had more adventure than darkness, it was really scary for me at that time. Just by watching the first cutscene and seeing that evil witch, it was enough for me. But the protagonist gave me a sense of bravery and strenght i never knew i could have, so i kept pushing despite my fears, going through the end until i had to sell my PS1 and from that, i never had the chance to complete this gem. But now, maybe i will close that chapter of my life with this Dreamlist. in some near future... I'll just wait like MediEvil until it's time to rise and fight.
Those games also need your vote!

Discworld
DiscworldDiscworld is a game released for PC (subsequently Mac, and Playstation) by Teeny Weeny / Perfect 10 studios in 1995. The game was released both on floppy disk and CD-Rom. The latter featured a commentary team created of many veterans of famous Brit-Coms. This included Monty Python's Eric Idle, Radio 4's (later to be more famous) Rob Brydon, ex- Doctor Who John Pertwee, 70s pop singer Kate Robbins, and Blackadder star Tony Robinson. The game is a riff on the Discworld title 'Guards, Guards', however many elements of the text have been shifted, not least the inclusion of Rincewind as protagonist. The game featured puzzles which were considered far too difficult and obtuse for gamers of the time, but the game itself has had a lasting legacy, now being accepted into such emulators as SCUMMVM.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
