One of the great games belonging to the golden era of Blizzard. I played D2 so much when I was young! It's less scary and atmospheric than D1, but it's more polished, complex and also good for MP. The item hunting is quite addicting in this. There are a few flaws tho: - you have to carefully plan your character in advance, if you want to win difficulties above normal. A respec option was added quite late, but it's very limited. Classes and skills aren't super balanced. - it's way too grindy after level 70-80 and there isn't much new content at that point, except for super rare drops. - the stash is too small for even average collectors.. you'll need external mods for it

For me, this is THE Diablo game. I played alongside my brother and friends; I was a paladin, and he was a necromancer—he had so many summons he barely noticed when they killed Diablo. Meanwhile, I struggled with my paladin. Good times!
This is THE video game to me. There has never been a game that has matched the magic of Diablo 2 and I don't think its crazy to say we've seen its legacy slowly suffuse the entire industry. Every other genre of games now bears some lineage to the systems of Diablo 2.

Fond memories playing it together with my brother in LAN. I'd really wish it would be available here, so everyone can venture together in Diablo 2 and experience the story.

I've played this game for hundreds of hours. The atmosphere is great and the hunt for loot is engaging. Many games have tried to improve the formula, but few succeeded, and this game still holds up in comparison. The base game was already good, but the expansion contained many great additions and is required to experience this game in its best form.

I would be lying if I said I spent a healthy amount of time on this game. From my childhood years and now well into my adulthood - the adventures in Diablo II somehow never got old. The addictive gameplay loop, the itemization that leaves you craving for more for years to come (it's honestly near impossible to collect every item in the game - some drops are just THAT rare!), the tight gameplay for a game of this age - it's the best in its class by far. I've tried other games in the genre, but none seem to have the same spark as Diablo II for me. That being said - the Diablo II Resurrected remaster is a godsend for those those value their eyes. The original game is stuck with a 25 FPS framerate cap and it can be hard to play like that, especially coming from various 3D games with smooth motion, BUT...the original still kicks butt and mods like PlugY (infinite stash space + other QoL improvements) can make this one a worthwhile play for sure, especially when paired with graphical adjustments that try to remedy the framerate problems (various frame interpolation tricks used to make the motion fluid). Despite its age - it's a 10/10 game for me, honestly. Loved it as a kid - still love it now. It was peak Blizzard storytelling back in those days :)

I didn't play it initially because I was put off by the cover ;) However, when I finally did it a couple years after the release I was hooked and the boss fights really made me sweat at times. However, this is not why I remember the game and it's not the setting or gameplay. For me it's the music. I love the soundtrack so much I still listen to it today, and sometimes I mute the music from the game I'm playing and put on the Diablo II OST instead!

this classic of the hack and slah genre must necessarily be sold with the addition of lord of destruction this game I passed with a few times the only drawback is the low resolution of the game

Holy F- Yes! , the original D2 with LOD needs to be here, easily one of the games of the golden era of Blizzard and is still a great Looter A-RPG that holds up pretty well. Blizzard doesnt make it easy to preserve the original version of those games, but one could dream.

Diablo was a revelation for me. One of the first games I ever played over the Internet. Diablo II was even better. It fixed some of the issues I had with the first and had a more immersive story. Diablo II is the peak of the Diablo Franchise in my mind. Diablo 3 and 4 are still fun, but I feel like 2 was the best.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
