The Italian version of the game is considered a rarity, even though it had full Italian translation, from the text to the dub. That's because the distribution company has gone bankrupt. This game is already on GOG, but it would be really neat to have the Italian version on it too.
I love this game. I used to play it with my father as a child. Now i play it alone but it is not the same. I'd love to hear of more people who love this game and who find it in modern days as a new game.

It was the game of my childhood. I played it in w Windows 95 machine in the nearly 2000s. My father gifted to me when I was six years old. It has a very special place in my heart :). Nowadays, I'm still playing it nevertheless it is very difficult because it has to be very mooded to work properly.
Patrician 3 is a game where you feel the love the developers poured into it. The church bell rings according to your realtime. The music flows depending on ingame context. You can micromanage the hansa to success, or just automate, fast foward and watch your money grow. Starting with trading, getting into production and then going on expeditions - the game has a lot to offer, even to different playstyles. You can hunt pirates or even turn pirate yourself and attack the hansa. Maybe even found your own city. Become the Alderman. Using all these mechanics - how big can you grow the hansa?! I play this game solo and still play it today.
This game teaches how a management and economics game should be, from its production chains to its complex logistics management. An old-fashioned game with soul.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival.
Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds.
