Starfury allows you to completely customize your starship and has a complex ship combat model. It was a one off in this series as a FPS space combat game in this game series. Played it sooo much, even did some modding on ships as it as easy. Pity it did not have any further development.
Love this game, still play it on my old laptop from time to time, explore systems and dock at new planet, buy and sell to update your ship until you can afford the next bigger ship to fight off pirates.
I remember beta testing this game way way way back in the day. It was fun in its own way and I wish the title had more development. If it comes back, maybe it will.
