Supercars International was the third game in the highly regarded series (after Super Cars and Super Cars II) by Magnetic Fields - known also for the Lotus trilogy, Kikstart 1 and 2 and others. Primarily known to the 16-bit computer audience on Amiga and Atari ST, this third title went largely unnoticed as the first and last in the series to be released for PC on MS-DOS. The prior title, Super Cars II - to which Supercars International could be considered an enhanced edition of the same game - received extremely high praise in gaming publications of the time, with numerous scores in the region of 90%. To quote 'AL82 Retrogaming Longplays' on YouTube (link to video below), "Perhaps the biggest upgrade Supercars International gets is a 60 Hz refresh rate. This makes the scrolling and general gameplay far more fluid and responsive, and the car handling and driving model is definitely the best of the three games". I think it's a fair bet to say that a great many fans of the series (tragically) won't even know this 3rd title exists. I myself only discovered it entirely by chance in a bargain-bin when browsing through a high-street store's wares several years after its release. Minimal publicity, coupled with the transition of 16-bit computers to PCs along with the slight name change hide one of the most enjoyable overhead cars-and-weapons racers I've personally ever played. Works flawlessly in DOSBox. MobyGames: www.mobygames.com/game/dos/supercars-international); YouTube gameplay footage: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA8-Jl7V6YI).

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Metal Gear Solid: Peace WalkerMetal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is an action-adventure stealth video game and is the third action-based Metal Gear title made specifically for the PSP. The gameplay consists of two primary modes: Mission and Mother Base. Mission are the actual action sequences of the game where the player must infiltrate an enemy territory or fight a boss, whereas Mother Base is an army management. Some changes have been made to the standard Metal Gear formula: the player is now unable to move or shoot while laying down and while pinned to a wall, making Peace Walker the first game since Metal Gear to lack any crawling ability.

Policenauts
PolicenautsPolicenauts is an interactive movie/graphic novel/adventure game with a hard science fiction storyline, written and directed by Hideo Kojima, and published by Konami. It was initially released for the PC-9821 computer platform in 1994, followed by remade versions for the 3DO in 1995, and the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996. The game has never been officially released outside Japan, despite plans for an English localization of the Saturn version. On August 24, 2009 (in honor of the 46th birthday of the game designer, Hideo Kojima), an unofficial English translation patch was released onto the internet. The game is set in a primarily first person perspective and uses a point-and-click interface: the player can move the cursor and have the protagonist (Jonathan Ingram) analyze objects around his environment or talk to other characters in the game. Like in Snatcher, the game features shooting segments where the player must defend their character from incoming enemies. The player can use the shooting trainer at the police department to test their reflex and accuracy. There are numerous puzzles in the game, including an event where the player must dismantle a bomb by following their partner's instructions. The console versions of the game all include support for their respective mouse peripherals. The Saturn version features light gun support for the shooting segments. The game was notable for being an early example of extensive voice recording in video games. It also featured a theme revolving around space exploration and occasional full-motion video cut scenes. The gameplay was largely similar to Snatcher, but with the addition of a point-and-click interface and some first-person shooter segments. Policenauts also introduced summary screens, which act to refresh the player's memory of the plot upon reloading a save, an element Kojima would later use in Metal Gear Solid. The PlayStation version of Policenauts could also read the memory card and give some easter egg dialogues if a save file of Konami's dating sim Tokimeki Memorial is present, a technique Kojima would also later use in Metal Gear Solid.
