Super Robot Wars MX Portable (2006)

Genres:Strategy
Story:Another year, another PS2 SRW game. The subject this time is SRW MX, the latest offering from Banpresto. Although the game itself isn't too hard, it has improved several aspects of the game, most notably the presentation of attacks which gives the game even more of an "anime" feel than before. This game also has a series list that would please American fans, with 4 featured titles already released in America; Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Nadesico: Prince of Darkness, Rahxephon and Neon Genesis Evangelion. New systems, such as the Double Attack system and Favourite System are also thrown in as Banpresto continue to refresh their series again and again.Super Robot Taisen MX Portable is a Strategy game, developed and published by Banpresto, which was released in Japan in 2005.Show more

The first SRW game I ever played. Picked this up randomly at a Frys Electronics one day because I saw a game with Evangelion AND RahXephon on the cover together and just had to check it out. From there I literally trialed and error my way through the Japanese menus and options until 1/4th through the game when I had the bright idea see if GameFAQs had anything useful to say. After nothing down on a piece of paper what some skills did and how they were spelled, I had some some of the funnest hours of my life going through entire anime arcs of shows I had no recognition of but could recognize from the attack animations they had in the game they were beloved. By the time I completed the game I had no idea what the plot was, but man did I bring an epic anime robot army to tag team the final boss to hell and back several times over. SO. MANY. MECHA. from shows I recognized showed up... This game, to put it plainly, was glorious. It also introduced me to my most favorite anime robot of my life, Zeorymer! I literally had to restart maps because Zeorymer was being TOO EPIC in destroying the enemy and collecting all the EXP for itself LOL! It would be great if this came to GOG. I bet I could easily find a Fan EN Patch and finally learn what the plot was supposed to be.
Those games also need your vote!
Monster Hunter
Monster HunterMonster Hunter is an online action-hunting game by CAPCOM for the PlayStation 2 released on March 11th, 2004 in Japan, and September 21st, 2004 in North America. The game is a fantasy hunting simulator filled with many deadly monsters. Like actual hunting, successfully killing or capturing the monsters requires significant strategy, skill and involved resource management. While initially considered a commercial failure, Monster Hunter would go on to become one of CAPCOM's highest selling franchises. Despite featuring an offline mode, Monster Hunter was primarily an online game. The official servers were shut down on December 31, 2007 in North America and Europe, and July 1, 2011 in Japan. This means that it is now impossible to play online on official CAPCOM servers. Despite this, the game still features a small active community on private servers.

The Lost Vikings
The Lost VikingsThe Lost Vikings is a puzzle-platform video game developed by Silicon & Synapse (now Blizzard Entertainment) and published by Interplay. The game features infinite opportunities of retries in case the player loses one of the Vikings. In 2015, The Lost Vikings were added as a playable hero in Heroes of the Storm, allowing players to control the three Vikings as individual units, making a unique departure from the typical heroes available. Character abilities: All three Vikings (Erik, Baleog and Olaf) have three health points which they can lose by getting hurt by enemies or by falling from great heights, and the ability to carry and use items, mainly keys, bombs, and food (which restore health points). Each of the Vikings has a unique set of abilities: Erik can run faster than the other two, can jump, and can bash through some walls (and enemies) with his helmet. Baleog can kill enemies with his sword, or from a distance with his bow (and a "life-time supply of arrows"). The bow can also be used to hit switches from a distance. Olaf can block enemies and their projectiles with his shield, and use his shield as a hang glider. Olaf's shield can also be used as a stepping stone for Erik to enable him to reach higher ground, which would not be possible without the shield.
