Maurizio84: there's a option in the BGT tweak pack to clear the fog from some of the areas:
"Major locations explored upon visit: Baldur’s Gate, Beregost, Candlekeep, Nashkel, and Ulgoth’s Beard begin fully explored."

I just installed BG2 last night and played for four straight hours (12-4am) in window mode. I would like to try this mods specially the wide screen, but the links and website are down. Is there another site that hosting this mods? Thank you.

Great guide.

I have a couple of questions regarding the mods Ascension and possible Redemption. I'm not sure if these pose any problems or if they are required to be installed before eg. the fixpack. Any help is greatly appreciated.

once that the BGT mod is installed the dialog.tlk file contain both baldur's gate dialogue,right?

That larger font mod isn't getting updated. Oh man I'm so spoiled from ghostdog's text mod for PST. With this game it's either tiny or huge. I'm nearly ready to just uninstall the widescreen mod and play in 800x600 since my monitor has a 4:3 mode.

GoJays2025: I think you may have to start from the beginning again. Since you'll be running BG1 in BG2's engine using these mods, I can't say that the saves will be compatible. You can always try if you'd like. BGT-Weidu does not modify your existing BG1 installation.

EDIT: Forgot to mention in my original post that you can remove your BG1 installation after transitioning it to the BG2 engine. Fixed now.
Sorry to ask. I just finished BG 1 using GOG and just installed Baldur's gate 2 using GOG. Is there a way to import my character?

I do all steps corectly ... and when I start a new game -> make a character and then click on accept only black screen appear and no loading. anyone can help me?
And why the game wants a CD from me?? I installed it from GoG and it wants a CD. (I have one that I can run the game but... )

THe game always fall down ... :/ please help me I kill all day with doing this .. :(
