I keep trying to capture Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition in OBS Studio but it never shows up. I tried searching online for a solution but using "Game Capture" does not work. Is there any information on why this is?

Looking forward to playing it, just unsure as to why it wont capture. :)

If you want to capture gameplay video, I don't know about OBS Studio, but Fraps works well with BG:EE

Game capture works for me. I created game capture after starting EE edition in windowed mode. So when I created the game capture, it automatically saw the game.

I've tried windowed mode as well. I'm not sure why it wont capture. I'll probably have to do it as window capture. :)

And what? Was it possible to capture Baldur's Gate with OBS then?

The solution was simple - I started the game by Baldurs.exe in the main game directory, not by shortcut or GOG Galaxy. (I did not have such a problem with Baldur 's Gate 2 EE).

For those on Windows 10 wanting to record original BG1 video footage (don't know if it works with EE), Windows/Xbox game bar video recording works perfectly (records at the proper resolution, sound, etc). Default hotkey is Win + Alt + R.
