Hello everybody,

after many years I wanted to play BG2 again. Since I lost my cds, I've bought the game on GOG. I've installed the classical mods (quest pack, unfinished business, bg fixes, ascension, widescreen and some of the bg tweaks). Now, I've begun the game but when I use AoE spells and target them, I cannot see their area of effect. Can you help me to solve that issue? I'ts impossible to play the game that way :D.

Are you asking if there's a target area shown when you target/cast an AoE spell? If so, there's not. It's all a matter of getting used to how big an area the spells actually cover.

Oh my, are you serious :D? So many years and I've forget it completely. Maybe I am accostumed too much with modern games that have the aoe marker :D. Sorry!
He's right. BG (both 1 and 2) never showed any area of effect before the spell is cast. Neither does IWD, and I'm also guessing that the other Infinity Engine games don't.
Yeah, this got me at first when I started playing BG1 again. I kept expecting the nice red circle like on DAO, and then realized I had to go back to old school trial and error.
