So I can import only one of my party for mBG1 to BG2, correct? I did so with my main guy, and I know Imoen shows up, but I thought that some of my other party members, such as Jaheria, and Minsc were importable. guess not. but do they show up? Do they start with zero skills or carry over some leveled up skills?

Baldur's Gate II is a different story with new characters, but does have some continuity from BG1 and some of the original characters show up as potential companions, while others show up in cameo roles. Those who show as potential recruits are:

Imoen
Jaheira (sans Khalid)
Minsc (sans Dynaheir)
Edwin
Viconia

They start at an appropriate level to the level of your main character, within limits.

Also, if you are playing the BGT mod, other companions (imoen, jaheira and minsc) will be just as you leveled them when you start BG2 (which automatically happens when you finish BG1 and talk to a guy).
