Simple question: Can you dual class kits?

For instance, is it possible to dual-class from Archer to Cleric of Lathander?

No, at least not legally. Only the primary class kit is retained.

It is possible to dual class FROM a kit: for instance, you can dual from an archer to a cleric. You can't, however, dual class from a fighter (or archer, or anything else) to a cleric of lathandar.
