(I am playing classic, not EE this time around.)

Having finished up the fight with Balthazar and left the Monastery, I've noticed something odd. I can't exit through the monastery gate. The cursor forms a stairs icon, but when I click on it, my characters just bunch up in front of the gate but don't go through. Is there a way to get back into Amkethran and the rest of the game?

I don't actually have anything left to do out there, so it's not a major concern, but if I did, it would be a problem.
