I like to use Baldur's Gate and other text-heavy RPGs to help me learn new languages. It worked pretty well for French and Italian :)

Would it be possible to license other language versions of BG at GOG, like (sorry) Steam does?
I'm sorry that this won't help you, but did you manage to get this version running in italian? If so can you telle me how please?^^

You go on a BG-related forum, ask for an Italian dialog.tlk for that game, and overwrite the dialog.tlk in your game directory with the one you downloaded. Spoken dialogue is in english, written dialogue in Italian.
perfect, just what i wanted^^ thank you very much^^
Oh, that's helpful. I didn't realize they had the dialog so well-separated. Some of those older games have text spattered all over the source so there's no other way to get a different language than to get the whole game.

Good hint :)
