I am pretty close to finishing bg1 and i have with me still the golden pantaloons only to import my character to bg2 because i hear something happens. What exactly happens when you bring the golden pantaloons to bg2?

You will be able to find another pair in BG2 and a 3rd pair in ToB. They can then be combined for a surprise item.
