Yup..the game page lists Win7 compatibility (32 and 64 bit) -- most games on the site do now. And I've tried it myself as have many others.

For other games, see this thread:

It should definately work on Win7, but there may be graphical glitches if you have an nVidia card. This can be fixed easily though, just have a look here if this applies to you: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/baldur_s_gate/nvidia_drivers_and_baldurs_gate

Yep, it works fine. As Grombart said, nVidia cards tend to be a little glitchy with these old Infinity engine games. It's a driver issue. There are a number of fixes and workarounds, but they easiest fix is to download and install the newest beta (260.63) drivers from nVidia. They solved all my problems.
Thanks guys. Got it and playing it now! Great game. In fact i do have nVidia so thanks for the info.
The game installs and works fine under Linux + Wine (on an old Dell lappy I have).
However on my Lenovo x201 running Windows 7 X64 Professional edition I have issues.

The game freezes (or delays) every now and again for around 2-3 seconds each time. From what I gather this issue occurs with BGII and many Infinity Engine games, but I am yet to find a solution for it.

I have tried:
Compatibility Mode (XP SP3 + run as admin)
Windows 7 Mode

Any ideas?
